I think everyone in these videos needs to watch the accident from 1997 in Downers Grove where a girl got hit by a Metra train and was k*lled instantly. Then, I think people would learn what would happen when one of these makes contact with you.
Yet a few months ago a girl in my grade died the exact same way just an hour north smh

Trains really are quieter than they used to be and people don’t understand that. Coast starlight #11 passed me by the other day and I didn’t even hear the thing until it was right in front of me and I was literally on the other side of a fence blocking the tracks. Trains especially equipped with Chargers locos are super quiet BE AWARE!

They are termed as “trespasser strikes”
Very clinical but anytime a strike happens, it typically is a result of trespassing.
Old Town is the worse because so many continue to cross while the gates are down and they trespass onto the tracks just to get in the station.

I hate the fact that Stupid People can't follow common sense when it to comes to railroad crossings warning Them to stop for an oncoming train and when They don't listen to the sound coming from the train They always fail to realize that trains can be dangerous if You get to close to Them when a train is in motion. They are literally the Human version of a Deer when They face danger 🤬🤬

All i see is natural selection needing to work on its accuracy but unless the train was overspeeding or railroad equipment malfunctioning, very hard to have sympathy for anyone that gets hit by a train. Sorry, but its not against the law cause the government sucks, its actually one of the few laws that makes sense. Just wait 30 seconds for a speeding passenger train, if you choose not to wait then your life is likely not that special to start with

most of these people are idiots fs, i think anybody crossing somewhere without a grade crossing, walking on the ballast, or crossing while the gates are down should maker better choices. However, the fellas posing for a graduation shot at 2:10 are more than likely fine on a single track grade crossing, where the train has literally just passed. This creator did not do anything wrong, but I think the railfan community in general should stop sensationalising people getting hit by trains as some sort of karma when these incidents are rather tragic. When I read some comments on other videos I get the sick feeling that people almost want to see pedestrians get hit.
oh you’ll love the idiot drivers we have here up North, recommend going to Broadway Station in Burlingame CA, you’ll probably catch maybe a car getting hit by a 50-79 mph Caltrain, that’s the most dangerous train crossing in CA according to news stations
