That's what I'm saying. People say that because Ronaldo's physique makes him look like he is working much harder than Messi but nobody is born knowing how to play football. Messi still had to work extremely hard but in a different way without relying on his physique that's all. Still takes time, dedication and effort to become the best. Really annoying when people say that as it takes all credit away from the greats that do work hard behind the scenes.

I mean this man is such a prolific dribbler and rarely gets injured through his career. Ask Neymar how easy it is with getting kicked up and down the pitch and stay disciplined. These days whenever I watch a winger trying to beat defenders and they rarely do so. He’s just not a show off about it. I describe Messi as an “enigma” because it’s just incredible how he keeps fit through all those challenges he’s faced that could have ended his career and still bounce back and still make the difference always.

The real challange definitely isnt starting out at sporting, going into the 2000’s epl as a youngster, going to a weak madrid, getting betrayed by the team that made you, all while the media attacks you at every turn. By the way the second messi faced “challanges” (leaving barca for psg) he didnt perform well and made the previous champions league semi-finalist get knocked out at the round of 16 for both years he was there, after he left psg made it to semifinals again.

Talent is great, but you have to work for it.
It’s also the same case for Ronaldo, he had talent to be noticed by top clubs, but he also put in immense effort to sustain his talents long term.

The building/growing stage is a different phase of the life cycle than the maintenance stage. So, obviously young players in the building stage shouldn't act like older players in the maintenance stage. That's just common sense. He's on another level. He understands football so thoroughly that at that moment in time, it's ineffective to focus on anything other than mental state.

  • @guilhermeryangomes7617

Mate, in Brazil used to have loads of friends playing and the best ones are these, before game they’re chilling out, they enjoy playing, they joke on the pitch, you never know the behind scenes, how much they train, how much they take care of themselves, since when they practice
Messi is small, that is a good thing for dribbling, they’re more difficult to be defended, he got the sauce too

It’s not just about the training that people see you do, but also the training behind curtains. A player who is dedicated, disciplined, and frequently training will be at the top of their game even when doing a match warm up, he’s smart, not overdoing it, and the reason is cus he’s just warming up and already been warmed up and he just knows what to do and can quickly get himself in the zone, this often requires talent but dedication and discipline make up for lack of skill. Messi looked so calm cus he was prepared but also cus it was a strategy that he used to shock opponents, especially cocky ones.

When you walk over 80% of the match it's pretty hard to get injured

Warming up with the ball works for me ,if i do actual warm up i get injured so , everyone has different ways to do it

Bro Steph trained alot, He had to complete a complex training that improves his core to prevent getting injured and he had to fight for the starting position. So now u know 👍

I don’t think he realizes how much Steph actually trains… Steph runs the most out of any pg in the league, he’s moved so much without the ball which is the complete opposite of Messi…

Messi got that work ethic from Ronaldinho and Deco when he was a youngster

People like this guy relate hard work with muscles and physicality. In sports, perfecting your skill is what matters. Your body comes second.

Save your energy for the game. Just go to the training base if you wanna see messi doing work hard. The one who is talking here is a real footballer btw
