Um, Kirstie was on Broadway in Kinky Boots. Kevin has played Carnegie Hall with the cello and sax. Scott just sang at Carnegie Hall recently. They all do solo projects. So long as it doesn't interfere with PTX.
I LOVE that they find the time to branch out but still stay together!!! Messer (Mitch) has some AMAZING solo stuff...definite must see/hear and of course Kevin "the beast" Olusola's solo stuff is EPIC!!!
The Broadway play Wicked is Scott's favorite musical and was supposed to get too go but was sick. Mitch put this together for Scott. Scott is Glenda the good witch and yeah Mitch is the wicked witch. This performance was my introduction to Mitch and Scott. We hadn't given you any Superfruit yet , we didn't know if you were ready. Always check after the video there's usually bloopers. Now you're ready for their AHA Singapore Star Vista live performance.

Don't forget the short but comical "Frozen Medley " which is just Scott, Mitch and Kirstie goofing around. Rumor is that they did that one after imbibing an "adult beverage". It is so cute, and really shows the bond those three have had since high school. Make sure when you do watch it that you keep watching for the bloopers at the end. They are the best part. Enjoy everything you do!

A lot of satire and genuine love and friendship for each other. They have many vlogs, challenges and music videos (usually not a cappella). Go in with an open mind and you will love it! So, first rule of watching Superfruit: watch all the way to the end. There are always bloopers after the "Subscribe" screen.
This was Mitch's birthday gift to Scott. The song is from Wicked, which is Scott's favorite Broadway musical. Apparently he was supposed to see it for his birthday that year but was sick and unable to go. It's Elphaba (Mitch), the Wicked Witch of the West, and her best friend, Glinda (Scott), the Good Witch of the North. These roles were originated on Broadway by Idina Menzel (who you might know as the voice of Elsa in Frozen) and Kristen Chenowith. Defying Gravity is known as one of the hardest songs to perform (particularly the part of Elphaba) and they nailed it.

Okay we have got to get you listening to more Superfuit, which is an offshoot youtube group that Scott and Mitch did back in the early days for about 4 years. They have some amazing singing video's, that will blow your mind. Evolution of Beyonce, Empire Medley, Evolution of Lady GaGa, Anti-Medley. The Promise, Goodbye From Lonely.....a ton of music.
Yes PTX is amazing and special and god given talented people meant to find each other and sing. But there is something about Scott and Mitch and you can tell that those 2, meeting at 10 years old, growing up best friends and singing together, is no mistake....they were made to sing together, probably one of the best duets ever. Hope you journey down some of the Superfruit music highway, it will blow you away.

@@ajonteampanalo Having grown up in a small town in Texas, I know how hard it can be to not fit in the "preconceived ideals" so for them to have each other, once again, I'm not a big believer in coincidence or accidents, I think it was just meant to be. Those boys to have families that were so loving and accepting of who they were, no matter what, fostering their friendship and love of music and theater....We all definitely got a Gift out of that deal! 💜
Idena Menzel (who voiced Elsa in "Frozen") originated the part of the Wicked Witch on Broadway. Mitch has some big boots to fill in this song, and he just crushes it.

I think the makeup job and That Wig (which by the way makes a few more appearances in other videos) happened because they are goofballs who don't take themselves seriously but I think it also serves to show that they can shred any song they attempt and that it's all about the vocals no matter what they look like

Superfruit, 2013 - 2017, although the fans keep hoping that Mitch and Scott will bring it back. It started as a vlog (video blog) here on CZcams, allowing them to express themselves more openly (PTX is specifically kept family friendly). The episodes range from fascinating to just goofy - about what you'd expect from a couple of creative guys in their early 20s, footloose and unsupervised. They soon noticed that the episodes featuring musical hijinks (and later, serious musical efforts) got the best ratings. The project culminated in the album Future Friends in 2017 - one of the best-rated albums I've seen online. People have already suggested most of the episodes/videos I'd recommend. Future Friends (the album - it's also the name of one of the tracks) is all about Scott and Mitch's long friendship, which had its ups and downs. Some of the songs are upbeat, some are emotionally desperate, but the videos are all super-stylish and the music really good, sometimes even great. I'd say must-sees are the Frozen Medley, similar to this one but with Kirstin, Feeling Myself, where Mitch raps his heart out, and GUY.EXE, a high-concept, high-energy bop of a video.
Superfruit are incredible! So funny they often to blooper videos which you just have to watch them with their videos, please lol

My absolute two favorite humans together. Superfruit is well worth the rabbit hole. There is the vlog which this is from, where they have weekly antics, guests, music and lots of laughter. (Pre Covid). They have some great music videos, their Future Friends Album and tons of content on their channel. Unfortunately, they moved apart and scheduling demands and Covid lockdown pretty much put an end to Superfruit. Many will say there was more behind the divide, I like to say it ran it's course for them. In the end, the two left us with hours of entertainment and music to enjoy well into the future. PLEASE react to any and all Superfruit which is the name the two performed and recorded under. By the way this performance was requested by Scott of Mitch as his birthday gift. Scott loved Mitch singing Wicked so much. Great reaction 😎

Song from Broadway musical "Wicked" - Scott is Glenda, the good witch of the North, and Mitch is Elphaba, wicked witch of the west. Glenda is trying to get Elphaba to stay in Oz, but because of Elphaba's evils ways, she's been banished from Oz and is being sought by the townpeople for punishment.
One of my absolute faves...another reactor said Scott looks like Clay Matthews from the NFL 🤣 Its funny cuz its true! My next 2 Superfruit faves is Frozen Medley and Beyoncé (every song on her self titled album). She saw it and tweeted that they were flawless.
You have to hear PTX Aha Star Vista Singnapore to see Mitch take it even more to the next level. It is from a concert. Avi is phenomenal as well.

Another Superfruit video that REALLY showcases both their voices and what they can do is the Beyoncé Medley - unlike PTX medleys, it's a medley of songs from Beyoncé's self-titled *album* rather than spanning her whole career so there are lesser known and more artsy songs to flex on. Beyoncé shared it on her social media saying "Scott and Mitch are flawless" if that tells you anything (the guys lost their minds over being "on a first name basis" above and beyond the shout out 😆).

Superfruit became so popular that they wrote an original album Future Friends, with a video for each song. Not a bad song in the bunch. I suggest you begin your Superfruit journey

Agree with most of your thoughts, but all of them have solo efforts that highlight their individual talents....Kristie starred on Broadway in "Kinky Boots" and also has her own singles; Kevin has is own CZcams Channel and has some unbelievable videos; Avi now has his own successful videos; and Matt is starting out on some original stuff. One of the rules that PTX has agreed to, is that anyone of them can do their own other thing, but Pentatonix comes first !!! That agreement has worked for them over the past 10+ year history.
Kirstin's solo "Naked" is absolutely MIND-BLOWING!!!!!! and she is absolutely freaking gorgeous in that MV!!!
Just like with PTX, you really can't go wrong with any of the Superfruit videos either. They have a lot of music videos, their own album as well, but I also think you would be very entertained by their vlogs and challenges too. These guys are very, very funny together. My personal favorite is the Yoga Challenge, but they have a whole bunch of funny ones! And they almost always have bloopers after the subscribe screen on their videos, which are hysterical.
Great job, but with Superfruit always look for bloopers at the end, they are so fun.
