Superfruit has several awesome evolutions, 1989, Emperor, Beyonce, Anti-Medley, they also have some great songs, like The Promise, and Goodbye From Lonely are my favs. As for the dating question, Scott and Mitch have known each other since they were 10, they grew up together and yes they did date briefly in high school, very briefly, but being best friends worked out better. Info Tidbit, Mitch and Kirstie also dated a couple of times. Figuring out who you are at that age is never easy....and doing it in a small town in Texas, can be hell. Being from Texas I can guarantee you that. Yes, they performed Bad Romance in the book shop. It's on Scott's old channel (he has 2, one that ran 2006-2010 which is "Scott Hoying" and the more recent which ran _from_ 2010 is "ScottHoying" ). Mitch says at the beginning something like they hope it doesn't suck because they just learnt it that day. And then they go on to just knock it out of the park. They were so good even then, I think they're maybe 16/17years old. Then of course they did telephone with Kirstie that got them their start for Sing Off, but I think that's on his more recent channel right back in the early days (not sure if they have it on Mitch and Kirstie's too). ETA I just went back to rewatch it, so good. It's worth checking out just for Mitch's line "I'm a freak baby"...watching it now like Mitchy, you haven't even reached your peak freak level yet, just wait. Lol.
SuperFruit started as a vlog in 2013. A lot of episodes are just Scott and Mitch talking about random things and doing CZcams challenges, sometimes with guests. A few episodes have them staging skits / singing, often with guests. There are a few like this with them doing covers / medleys of pop songs. In 2016, they started recording songs they had written and doing videos for them. In 2017 they released an album called "Future Friends" in two parts, with all songs their originals. I have heard that many of the songs are based on their relationship in high school -- dating, having a hard break-up and gradually repairing their friendship. Some "Future Friends" videos -- "Hurry Up", "Fantasy", "Deny You"
You should check out their (Superfruit) FROZEN medley featuring Kirstie…it’s pretty funny. They had a little wine and we’re just goofing around. The bloopers are the best part of that one 🤣
