The first version of Tribute seemed to imply that they combined the best parts of the best songs in a miraculous combination which formed the Greatest Song in the World (at least that's how I interpreted it 🤷♂️ ). I would love their cover album to be presented as one continuous performance (no breaks between songs) that was their attempt to recreate the Greatest Song in the World.

It's like with Disturbeds version of Sound of Silence, or Johnny Cash with Hurt amongst many. There are those few that can take a already really good song, and take it a step further and make it almost god like.

Kyle's guitar playing is flawless here and sounds amazing. Jack...wow...his voice is powerful and full of emotion. I have no shame in saying this performance brought me to tears. We need a full length version of this and an album of Tenacious D covers. I'd love to see them come to Emo's or the Come and Take It Live here in Texas.

they filled the amusment park, they where at capacity, and people where still flooding outside, people stole boats just to get closer (the amusement park is near a canal in the middle of Stockholm) people where out on the water in inflatable boats, mattresses all kinds of shit just to hear them play.. So tell me, how are they not getting the respect and recognition they deserve exactly? The rock n roll hall of fame is just an attraction bullshit in the states and nothing else.
