The world will never fully acknowledge the truth, that Jack Black has one of the prettiest singing voices known to man. When he acts silly and uses humor to distract from his massive range and total vocal control, he's doing it to avoid overshadowing the rest of the performance.

I think something going unnoticed is Jimmy Fallon's attention to detail. Jack deviates from the original video's movements, but it still feels like the original videos. A large part is how much Jimmy is accurately recreating. Hair flicks, head turns, posturing. He really had to have studied the guitarist's body movements.

Can we talk about the attention to detail. Not just the hair, getup, mannerisms, singing and harmonies but the camera angles, camera going across the dials on the amp in the beginning, the graphic on the kick drum, the Remo stamps on the drum kit, the Mesa boogie cabinets in the background. Everything is so spot on to the original music video. And Jimmy Fallon is actually playing most of the guitar in it too by the looks of it. Saying they nailed this is an understatement.
