You're definitely right, the tripod is the most neglected piece of equipment. Good video!

You're brave! I would have been so afraid to take apart my tripod prior to seeing this. Thank you for the tutorial!

This a great video. I've taken apart a tripod before and never got it back together. I am the least handy person on the planet. A top tip in seascape photography is to never close the bottom legs before completely rinsing and wiping them off. Even after watching this I'm not sure i can do this but might give it a shot on one of my cheaper tripods. Great stuff Jason!

Very helpful and thorough video Jason - I dig the text graphics used. The tip I think is really helpful and often overlooked is to document your steps, can be a lot of hassle if it's a difficult assembly to put it back together again.

Thanks for stopping by Lee! Its a good thing to give them a cleaning from time to time especially if you are by salt water ever. I guess you are safe! :)

That's a great guide to taking apart and cleaning your tripod, though I have an old k&f tripod that comes apart all by itself! 😂
I know my 3legged thing needs a bit of a clean, so maybe I'll give it a go 👍

I have a mach3 and cannot seem to get the legs off! Yours seems to come away effortlessly when the bolts are removed. Any ideas?

My tripod legs will not come off. The threaded tube inside is too long and keeps the tripod leg from coming off. My adjustment slider lock unscrewed itself and I need to reattach. Total nightmare.
