One of the best budget weapons you can get at level 1 traders is doing the ump Barter from peacekeeper with all the knives being sold from fence for around 40k roubles total.
yup 22k for the er knife.. about 4.6 k for the others.

Played to lvl 8 yesterday, used suppressed vpo209 with 10rounder, Eko, Bastion and Pilad scope, as my favorite cheap DMR, and the mighty PM with PSV and the new grip as back up. Love the 97 ergo and the sights.
One sight I really enjoyed using this wipe before getting peacekeeper 2 was the H-2, it's especially good for m4s since you're not able to remove the front sight + gas block but you're able to use a spacer to get the sight mostly over the front sight (aimpoint micro standard mount + aimpoint micro spacer high). Ever since getting peacekeeper 2 I've been using the new Elcan Specter HCO on everything I can though, I actually prefer it over the XPS3-0 I always used to use.
the solution is to pick up every mp153 you see and after a day or two youll be able to cycle through them with insurance and such and run it with mag buck crafted at ll1 workbench

I believe the SKS is still accurate if you take off the rear sight as well. Helps a little since the iron sights aren't great.
For a game that claims to be "realistic" the fact this works is just stupid.
It shoots high with the sight off, you have to aim at bottom thorax to hit head

as someone else said the elevation is completely off without the rear sights, the whole point of bringing an SKS vs the subs early wipe is to have medium-long range capability on maps like woods
The early 20 round mags for 7,62x39 are a game changer. It allows akm builds to work from day one. Not having PS like last season is a bummer. But it’s still better to shoot 20 mediocre ammo than to reload after only 10 where the recoil is still hitting hard/starts to become controllable. And most importantly: it saves inventory space. So overall good balance.
It also really helps the VPO-209 as well with how hard hitting EKO is in the first few weeks of the wipe.

AK74U is one of my favorite guns in Tarkov.
Found a 120 pack of BP and BT and survived 4 raids in a row with the RPK, until i died to a 3 man after taking out 2. Loving the wipe so much so far.
AKS-74UB has the best hidden recoil stats, mainly the dispersion value. Buying that and selling the suppressor to mechanic gives you back quite a bit of money as well. Imo it's always worth buying that version of the aks-74u instead of the others.

@@gollllllly True, BUT... While I don't think it's as good, the PP-19 is there on Prapor level 1, and it's a freakin' laser beam.
I run pistols for Stirrup but honestly the double barrel has taken over that role for me. It's cheaper than basically anything but the PM / TT and it has stuck tight spread I find it incredibly easy to use the sights or just point fire it. I have more luck with it than anything because I know my load out costs nothing so I just go in there balls out which is usually the way to win 😂
The double barrel can ruin people's day
I've been running the trusty toz-106 with 4 round mags lol, and if people kill you it fucks with them becuase they think the toz is FIR for skier lol
this wipe i used the pp19 and the aku the most because you can put a scope and a flashlight on both, and i always use the 5,45x39fmj from jaeger lvl1 because its better then the t ammo
you can get the knives for the ump trade from fence pretty easily as well
The iron sights on the MP5 are actually VERY good, I haven't found the need to use the red dot even though the mount is always sold out. Between the MP5 and PPSH, I've already reached level 12 in two days of wipe and did a lot of the earlier tasks, so those two SMGs work very well.
Here's a tip to the gigabeef followers, if you use the PPSH, get the LRNPC ammo from Jeager. It's the highest flesh damage ammo and available from Jeager 1. You will not be penetrating through ANY armor with any of the starting PPSH ammo, so at least have high flesh damage, you can quickly legmeta people with level 4 armor. Try to spray to the face to get a facetap, which is incredibly easy with the controllability and irons sights of the MP5, or the 1000rpm of the PPSH.
Akps or akbs whatever has 15% recoil reduction from prapor 1 .. so it can be helpful in headshots
@@mohamm148 AKBS with the -15% recoil I think is too good to pass up plus it still does something like 58 flesh damage so it's more then workable for spraying legs or heads.
I found with the PPSH that even if you cannot hit the legs and have to spray the chest you can usually ruin the PMC's arms and start a ton of bleeds. It may still get you killed but usually make them fall back or get shaken up so you can reload or go for that headshot/leg meta. I've always been surprised how much of an effect that much firepower can have in a fight even if you don't get a kill right away.
@@Swarm509 Yes, 100%, unless you're going up against some experienced high level no-lifer, 9/10 when people have heavy bleeds and blacked out limbs, they panic and become easy to finish off.
@@UrbanDefenseSystems TBH even if I die dumping drum mags and seeing the massive damage/hits is still pretty awesome. Fought a lot of teams with the PPSH and so long as I've had fun I'm happy, and I usually take a few with me.
There is an argument to use the MP5 instead, since you might need those extra rubles for buying other gear and the scav junkbox, and spending the USD with peacekeeper is useful for increasing his loyalty level. Not being able to put an optic on it sucks, but I personally think the MP5's iron sights are pretty good.
the pp-19 at level 1 has been the single most beneficial change in a tarkov update since I started playing this game in 2017 IMHO. Early game used to be such a masochistic experience, but now there's a fighting chance for us players who dont spend 8+ hours a day, 7 days a week on this game.
05:20 there has always been one advantage, being able to buy a suppressor day 1 for it.

Strangely I've been sticking with the UMP. 25 pen rounds plus full auto makes it shred through class 3 - no-one is using it which I guess makes sense with other options. But it's saved my ass several times already this wipe
Fellow UMP man here. At least on the smaller maps, woods i am running the sks. UMP is great and quite cheap. I just noticed many people selling their knives to fence so for ~40K Rub you buy them there and play it all the time. So you dont have to loot all the scavs and look for knives

Yeah UMP shreds no armor and up to 3 class armor guys. But horizontal recoil and accuracy real shit even with silencer.

My issue is i cant find anything, cant find any salewa for therapist, the shotguns for prapor, or even a sparkplug to get the generator going. Already almost level 8 and still cant make any progress ok quests

I've never really understood why people go so feral over the mosin when, as you've mentioned, any armor at all means it won't one tap to the chest... and if it doesn't do that, there are plenty of other guns you can go for the head with.

@@cazaconaire-supervivencia-396exactly, I bring 80 rounds and reload all raid and shoot scavs in the head as much as I can. Especially when doing Pilkom Hobo and the Customs scav kill quests. 3 birds 1 stone.
Why people use mosin:
1.) Jaeger quests require sniper skill
2.) Previous wipes LPS was the cheapest and available at LVL 1
3.) The way armor penetration works in this game means LPS has a chance of penetrating armor like level 4 or 3.
Armor penetration is not black and white it’s percentages meaning your Condors have a chance of eating 7.62x39 PS etc.
4.) Cheap and easy to use if calm
5.) Previously the firearm was better and there were less choices

I’m a bit confused why the PM Makarov’s price got increased. It has always been my favourite pistol for the sole reason that I have a tiny peashooter that doesn’t do much.
I think it's because it got more attachment slots and is therefore more modular (I've been finding more grips for it, and Skier sells a polymer frame for it that can hold the tiny flat flashlight only, and I'm sure there are other mods you can find/buy)
I have never not died using the PP19 but to each their own!

1. MP5 > PP-19 because you need to spend 11k dollars with Peacekeeper. And Mp5 overall better with high rate of fire.
2. Budget weapons you can easily find on scavs there is no reason to buy shotguns or Kedr. PPSH good choice but price of gun and mags is not budget. Pistols useless in pvp even at start of wipe. Best pistol in the game USP because devs nerfed SB193 for 5-7 and 5-7 is rare and expensive pistol.
3. OP SKS, VPO's no need to buy when you can easily find it on scavs.
4. AKS-74U best way in early wipe: a lot of PP and BP ammo spawn on maps and players with 5.45 guns dominate cause of this super common PP and BP rounds.

Get your ppsh of market or scavs since they dont jam
tapco is lvl 1 so you can use the base sks and get a sight on it the hidden stats on the standard sks are better then the op sks.
Tapco puts the sight super forward though. Personally would just use the Irons over that far forward with a basic red dot.

I think the might have increased the effectiveness of pen across all rounds . Not increasing the numbers but increasing what they actually do/mean, because, first day of wipe I headshot someone through a window, metal wall, and level 3 ratnik helmet with one of the terrible light blue leaded slugs

PRO TIP : With the sks remove the rear sight and it gives more of an opening threw the front sight as is still accurate with the rear sight removed .

The grouping and accuracy would be the same as you’d just have to learn to shoot a little lower than previously.
Honestly K/D ratio means a lot less because it’s inflated with scav kills but nonetheless 7>0-6.
Actually the PP-19 was in a previous wipe but it was pre beta, I missed it so much for wipe days because it was such a fun gun to use.

WHY IS EVERYONE FORGETTING ABOUT THE UMP
Nobody forgets it, everyone knows 45 ACP fucks, its not really needed to mention unless you need to remind people about its barter; but you could also forego the scavving and just dump 15~21k into an MP5/Vityaz and get a same result without having 1 per restock(I think? mechanic LL1); same thing for MPX barter despite the fact the MPX comes with the HAMR 4x which is really good with a bastion-railed AK early game.

I think th complete removal of high pen rounds (40 pen and above) from the lower tier is stupid.
It's not like you get your hands on an SVD anytime soon as a casual and now the small chance of killing a beefy boy with a mosin was also taken away.
This game really rewards wasting your entire day in front of it way too much.
You literally unlock the SVT and LPS at level 2 prapor... and its better than a fully modded SVD...
