Let me bring you thru the steps on how to take a plain wall and bring it to life. Since we live in Florida, what better way to compliment where we live but with a wave effect wall. Clean white Venetian plaster with dune metallic over top to really make a statement at this downtown St. Petersburg office building.

Can the wave effect be done in a navy metallic color, maybe over a dark teal for dimension? I chalk painted my vanity in coastal blue, I will be doing a finishing wax next. I would love to do a wave effect on a small accent wall across from the vanity. Thank you in advance!! Great work!! Trina🙂

I would. Just make sure to use a sealer over it. Firenzecolor sells it
can this finish be done on an outside wall?
This is gorgeous - but this is not something for a beginner "DYI" weekend project. This technique clearly takes experience to learn so that it's well executed. Let's hope the Venetian plaster experts in my area can do this!
If I used 3.5 cups of quartz primer and 1 cup of water is that too much? How many coats of primer do you need?

Why? You're not using VP for the effects it creates. You could create this with any paste like material. Heck even joint compound. Then spray with a metallic paint. Vp can be very expensive.
I thought the same, the mud is cheap at HD or lowes.
Right then finish it off with a poly coat or 2

Doom metallic I take it that’s the wax
Dune metallic. You can add a wax.

@@waynebrewer2497 it’s like a paint with metallic charges in it. It is a Italian based product. It comes from Italy. Pretty cool stuff. It’s called Dune Metallic. It comes in silver and gold base
@@finaltouchdrywall thanks Justin I’ve recently done the same style wall at home however I put a silver mineral wax over the top of it to be honest wasn’t that pleased with the result…. thats why asked about the doom metallic yours looks spot on 👌🏻
@@waynebrewer2497 yes the dune first then you can put a silver wax over top of that if you want to give it a really metallic look. I just used the dune on this one. On the wave wall I like the silver wax over top better. Really makes it pop. Thanks for watching and commenting.
