    Thank you, I really enjoyed this. I work with many people from Russia and it’s funny when I go to work and toss out a word I just learned. Most laugh and it’s probably because I’m pronouncing it incorrectly but they catch on.

    Too soft swear words, we have a lot of words that have much more taugh and megarude meanings, literally, Russian swears can be another language, we can talk using only that words, and our speech still will be extended

    "damn" isn't exactly "chert". damn is a curse, cursed... www.etymonline.com/word/damn
    "chert" is devil, demon, dickens
    "blin" isn't "damn"... exactly... this pancake is the acoustically similar euphemism for "blyat", for puritanical substitution...
    generally, all these usually in this context makes sense of sounds - "Aaaa!", "Oooo!", "Uuuu!", "Rrrrrr!!!"... etc :>
    "tvoju matj" isnt "damn it"... here is cut off... really is "eb tvoju matj" and means "fuck your mother"... not only "your mother"...
    "da poshel tih" isn't "go to hell", here is cut off.... really is "da poshel tih na hui", what means "go to a dick", i.e. to penis...

    These are rather mild expressions. If the English equivalents were in a American movie, it might be rated PG-13 (suitable for teenagers. An R-rated movie would have stronger language. But thank you anyway, Kris for your efforts and for your video.

    • @magallanica4346
      @magallanica4346 Před 6 lety

      Except "yes" the word "da" cans mean "and" as here, next is easy it means "go away" and the last word is kind of expression that means that "I want YOU go away, not anyone else, only you", much easier translate it like "go fuck yourself"

      that word combination actually doesn't make much sense at all. (I'd say it sounds terribly silly when those two words are used together). Btw, suka is NOT a swearword _in itself._ It has nothing to do with words like "bl...". It is the correct term for a female dog (a male dog is called кобель [kah-bel'], a baby dog is called щенок [sche-nok]). I have to say, I've never understood why someone tends to use that word in negative contexts (most female dogs are cute and faithful), especially since we have more than enough words for such use...
