- Seminole State Park is nestled away in southwest Georgia near Bainbridge. The lake views were gorgeous but I don't think we have ever been so cold! We try out a new recipe for beef stew and it was DELICIOUS! Check out our REVIEW of this campground!

you two are such a cute couple with two cuter kids;;lol ;;; while i probably will never visit the parks in your area as i live in central
texas and be an old man;;;so i just enjoy the views that you bring to the screen and the fun with the kids;;;;keep em comin;;;; its brave to be camping with pop up when cold when wind comin off lake gives a wet cold that goes right thu your clothes;;;;again keep em comin;;;;

There were a lot more campsites before Hurricane Michael came through in 2018 and wiped out the back half of the campground. They used to have four or five treehouse platforms for youth camping but they were wiped out as well. The campground itself has only been opened back up to allow for camping in the last year after cleanup and renovating from the hurricane.

It was beautiful, but the wind coming off that water was rough!
I saw you tube on dutch oven cooking and they showed a lid lifter, and said that you should keep water heating to add hot water to not cool the cooking stock down
Travis you need to look at getting a camp oven where can put the hot coals on top of the lid as well as under .

Good Lord, Travis! Y'all were only 43 minutes away from my house! As for the gators, no worries if it cold out - They stay in the water and are slow, but in the warm weather, keep your kids away from the water's edge until they both get a little bigger. Gators are a lot quicker than you might think. Y'all should check out my friend, Savannah Boan's videos from Gatorland. She teaches children "gator safety."

I tried to leave the names of some books I have used on ditch ovens but maybe that is not allowed so I will not enter them again, but there are a lot of books, some show using a tripod with a chain to hook the oven at different heights above the fire
