HIKING THROUGH THE LITTLE GRAND CANYON | Exploring Georgia Providence Canyon

- Check out our campsite at Florence Marina State Park and follow us as we hunt for firewood, try to stay dry and hike through Georgia’s little Grand Canyon!
Tips for hiking this canyon:
1) wear hiking shoes that are waterproof,
2) make sure to bring snacks and water if you go into the canyon,
3) bring a spare pair of shoes and a trash bag to put shoes worn in so your car is protected from all the clay,
4) kiddos can do this hike but make sure to bring extra clothes for them to wear on the way home- they will get dirty!
5) be prepared to carry little kids out of the canyon, it is a steep climb out!

What is up with GA st park system firewood? We camped at Jekyll island state park the last weekend of Feb 21 and they sold us that same “firewood.” If they do this again I’m bringing my own firewood. The other mesh bags of firewood wouldn’t burn. But we used it so we didn’t spread pests but they’ve got to have usable wood if they want us to not bring our own. We are already paying for something we could bring for free.
