No bullshit armchair analysis here, how refreshing! An actual "expert"on aerodynamics with education a degree and actual F1 experience explaining in lay terms for us aerodynamic dummies how things work. Also the disclaimer at the beginning of the video highlights the point that any analysis performed even by you an expert on renderings and or photographs of the real mccoy are educated "guesses". Appropriate and professional.
Other channels, pretenders make me chuckle they can't touch this explanation.

The McLaren has no overbite, which incidentally makes little sense. The sidepod intakes are the same. What McLaren has is a kind of floor edge wing, but no overbite. This would be aerodynamically fatal as the excess air from the radiators would flow into the undercut and along the sides at high speeds, which would not only upset the whole aerodynamics there but also on the side of the underfloor.

I love your content Kyle, so much more detailed and correct than the content from the main media outlets! I was wondering if you could make a video on platform control, explaining what suspension and aero trade-offs are being made when using a lot of anti-dive and anti-squat. Plus, we hear a lot of people saying that pullrods on the rear are just "so much better for the aerodynamics", but I'm not so sure how, your insight would be amazingly valuable.

Totally get that a lot of the cars don't have much changes to warrant you filming a whole video, but maybe once testing starts a round of the collection of new and interesting stuff is something I'd look forward too. :) love the work you do with the F1 and non F1 stuff.

Thank god someone with actual credentials and credibility is doing analysis on the newly released F1 cars. Too many glorified journalists, talking nonsense for views, clicks and likes.

Liking the what appear to be turning vanes on the halo. Makes sense they're there to tidy the flow, maybe preventing spill from affecting the downwards on top of the pods and/or air coming from the cooling vents.

Hey Kyle! I just discovered your channel and I’m loving your videos. I wanted to give you one piece of advice as a professional audio engineer: the mic that you’re using is really not designed to pick up sound from that far away. A dynamic mic doesn’t typically perform very well at a distance, and being in an echoey room doesn’t help either. Your viewers will have a much better audio experience if you move the mic closer to your mouth, ideally under 12 inches or so.
Keep making great content, looking forward to what you put out in the future!
