      It’s FINE! You are incredible! And thank you for encouraging me to do a CZcams channel. You said “I’m not sure if that’s what you are referring to…” and yes I was but even just posting TikToks without deleting them would be a first big step. I over apologize too. And I need outside encouragement and nothing is wrong with it. Just know you are doing a badass job

    I’m a foster mom (20+ years), and I love what I do. We have weekly talks with my tweens to adult kids about the dangers of social media, and the reality of human trafficking. My tween and teen, we used age appropriate language; my adult kids, we didn’t sugarcoat. It’s our job as parents to protect our children. I currently have a 10 month old foster baby that only a few people have seen pictures of, and know his name. Some say I’m overprotective, but when I was 8 years old, I saw a car pull over to the side of the road when I was on my way home from Girl Scouts. There was a 14/15 year old girl walking. Two men jumped out, they put a cloth over her mouth, she went limp, and they threw her in the car, looked over at me, and I heard a voice in my head yell RUN. I ran faster than I ever had. I got home, locked the door, ran to the front door, and locked it too. Then I ran into the kitchen and sat on the floor, shaking. My mom called the police once she got the story out of me. I don’t know what happened, even all these years later. Every time I asked, my parents told me not to worry, the police were dealing with it, and I was safe. But, that’s why I’m overprotective. My kids get driven everywhere.

      Oh my gosh, that’s insane and eerily similar to what is alleged to have happened to a paper boy named Johnny Gosch in the early 80s, Nebraska. The chloroform rag and multiple men in a car. To SEE THAT HAPPEN to another child in real life must have been surreal and terrifying. As a kid my mom warned us about “pervs” and I had s few encounters hanging out near the street with my 2 neighbor girl friends, the cars would stop after seeing us and or back up and we would RUN into the woods together immediately. I’m glad we knew at least to do that.
      I bet that experience has stayed with you your whole life and you remember it like it was yesterday? I know it’d be like that for me.
      Did you ever find out what happened to the girl, was it on the news and stuff?

    My big fear is that it's not for money, that Jacqueline is a creeper herself. I worked in the state system for families, there were always a few parents of concern that knew exactly what was illegal & what isn't, and how to walk that line and prevent DFS from getting involved. I'm sure they know locally, but their hands are tied with the coded innuendo & digital safety language often is not in our modern laws, so I doubt the state can do anything. It's terrifying, this woman is one of the biggest villains online, and not in a fun light hearted way. She's evil.

  • @hkandm4s23
    @hkandm4s23 Před 3 měsíci +31

    As a therapist and a mom, about the privacy thing - it ok to explain things to a toddler. If they walk in on you during private moments, it's not ideal, but things happen. Make an age appropriate explanation and move on. The thing is, i don't care what a kid does when handed a tampon. I don't care if your toddler knows where on goes, though i think she was coached to do that. The thing is, there is no excuse for posting it. The mom knows exactly what she's doing..... you shouldn't post your kids in compromising positions, if at all. Ever. I wish we could outlaw this stuff and give children privacy protection until they can fully consent.

      Thanks for sharing! I definitely don’t try to shy away but I agree posting your child doing this is wrong. Like I said in my video, I do share all the correct names with my kids and definitely share age appropriate things. For me this is all new territory, I want to do it right with my kids. No shame.

    • @Angry_Toe
      @Angry_Toe Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you!! Why is this woman posting an uninformed opinion while criticizing another parent? Yes posting your kids online is WRONG, but so is what you’re doing- just sharing your opinion as fact without any effort to research what professionals say about how to handle the awkward times as a parent. Take this video down or edit it to stop further spread of poor parenting practices.

    • @hkandm4s23
      @hkandm4s23 Před 2 měsíci

      @Angry_Toe huh? Not everyone is an expert on everything. My comment was just to give some advice for how to handle this and normalize things for any parents wondering. She didn't say anything wrong, and made it pretty clear this was her own experience. I would much rather her or anyone post a video like this than have exploitative channels continue to do things without getting called out.

    I have one child, my daughter. As a little girl, she had big hazel eyes and luscious long blonde hair. I was approached to put her into modelling. I refused. I was offered a significant sum, by a major retailer, to have her model children's clothes for their catalogue. Again I refused.
    The only time I was happy for her to do something was a photograph to promote a children's charity, for which we didn't get paid.
    Children should not be a means for parents to earn money. They deserve our love and protection, not exploitation. Far too many children are paraded online daily, especially on Utube. That strips them of privacy. My daughter's education was a priority for me. She took dance classes, purely for fun. She did sports, which she loved.
    She is now grown up and pursuing a career and I am so proud of her.

    I was just like you in that i used to watch some family vlogs, bc i viewed them as wholesome and genuinely just love kids but after i had my son 4 yrs ago my viewpoint totally changed and i think it is so unsafe and unfair to the children😢 .
    This mom, ive heard of on tiktok and it is super disturbing! Until my son was 2 i would post little clips of him public and i noticed they would get so many saves and way to many likes from random accounts and i stopped immediately(and deleted the ones i had) bc it just gave me a weird feeling. Its our jobs to protect our kids and putting them on a platform where anyone can see is the exact opposite of protecting imo. I hear the argument on posting kids publicly that weirdos are everywhere and i understand that. But in real public your beside your kid and should be watching them, and be aware of who is around.
    On social media your just putting them out there and have no way of knowing whos on the other side of that screen.

At 2, and on God i didn't expect the response (the likes and saves) when I'd just been posting art and whatnot and have no platform. Then suddenly within minutes if my Lil one is in it it triples in likes and saves. I was like.....no
      ....this does not feel right. So stopped. And told his dad (who I'm not with but is in his life. Please don't post him publicly and told him why)

    My daughters 3 and 5yrs both have seen me on my period. They know what my pad (we call it mommy's diaper) is. My oldest has had to go grab me one from the other bathroom before and she knows when she's older she'll get a period too. I don't find anything wrong with that. They'll be more than prepared and it's nothing to be embarrassed of. What's wrong is uploading a video of anything that should be done in private or even a minor in general. My kids will never be posted to strangers.

    There are FEW child stars whose parents didn't dip into their income.
    Mila Kunis' parents still won't even let her pay for dinner when they go out.
    Freddy Muniz's parents put his away and invested a lot of it. They never touched it.
    Then you have the Aaron Carter's, Jeannette McCurdy and Gary Coleman's of the world.
    Let's not forget REALITY TV. Mama June's went through every penny of her older kids trust funds and spent most of Alana's...and is back on the show yet has made zero effort to pay them back! The kids on those shows never get paid...it's up to the parents to disperse any funds they choose to. Kate 8 ran through ALL their money.
    It's wrong.
    None of these little kids should even be on social media and reality tv

    The comments the P’s leave on wrens videos freak me out. I don’t think she realizes these people can and will find a way to get to her if they really want to and mom can’t always be there to protect her and her teachers or whoever might not know what’s going on. Oh but she wants to video scrapbook her daughter’s life?There’s a way to do that without posting it to the internet.

    I am not a parent. I am, however, an aunt of many neices and nephews, and also someone who has been on the internet for a VERY long time - as a millennial, I more or less grew up on the internet. Seeing children online in content like this makes me so uncomfortable. I see some people who create content where their children are in the content, but not the main focus. Because they show their life, their kids come up, but not like this. I take less issue with that (though ideally, kids would not be online much at all in a monetized content way) but when I see family channels, and especially channels that seem to cater to a certain type of viewer, I'm horrified. Once you know what people do with that content, how can you in good conscience feel OK putting that out there?!

    Especially with the content she makes she for sure is aware. I don't think all people who make videos of their kids just want to show off their baby, they also tend to be more involved in speaking to the child while recording. But she literally has 100 times been doing weird ass video ideas that should be kept private, but she doesn't care who's watching if she gets her money.
    i am not ]against explaining things like tampons or shaving private areas and breast feedubg, but that's a private convo. That should not be something you show off on line. I used to pretend to nurse a baby, but my parents aren't going to video tape it with my undies exposed. I feel like that doesn't need to be said.
    Plenty of children also bathe with their parents innocently, but that is NOT something they would record, right? That's an extreme example but still, stuff like that should be private, if it has something to do with genitals, don't be continuously show that to an online audience. She knows what she's doing

    We’re going to see a lot of parents who exploit their kids moving states this year I think! And/Or they will become VERY VERY savvy learning the new laws and skirting around them. Like if the law is ‘if a child is in 30% of the video you have to pay them’ they will make sure they are only in 29%. If they have 3 or more kids… that’s nearly an entire video of their kids and they won’t have to pay them.
    Bad people will always find a way around the rules. Even worse, RICH bad people will just break the rules and hire a lawyer to get them out of what ever consequence there may be.

    It would be much better if family vloggers and kin “influencers” simply weren’t a monetized pathway. I understand it seems like it’s asking a lot, but for many years, children weren’t used for any form of content except in professional settings. That being said, the entertainment industry is incredibly grotesque and seedy, but had legislation taken serious steps to narrow the ways sickos can access them, it would’ve been leaps and bounds better. I know we can’t change history, but the present and future can be altered. It will never be perfect and we’ll never had the ideal protections, but I’m a firm believer that there can be much more affective laws (that are fully implemented and taken seriously by law enforcement agencies) that can be used to really minimize this problem. But then again, even the highest rank branches of law gain monetarily from this. So I realize I’m speaking to a wall when hoping this would be done.

    Also, my first thought at seeing this mother was that’s there might be something with her exploitation. More than just financial. I often wonder if that isn’t the case with a lot of these parents. Whether it’s a sick act or if it’s something that’s been so normalized for them that they truly see nothing wrong with this form of exploitation.

    And another thing… laws are great and I am very impressed that so many states are starting to take the first steps to protect the kids in the situation… BUT what are the consequences????? Do these laws state the punishment if you break them? Are the ramifications large enough to actually make these people stop exploiting their children? If they are making hundreds of thousands even millions of dollars RIGHT NOW they are probably so hypnotised by $money 🤑 that they don’t have the emotional ability to care about the future.

    Babies & toddlers do sometimes see things, but luckily they forget & if people try to be as discreet as possible, no trama should occur. By the time they have memories, tho, yeah a normal, responsible mom will never expose kids to her own intimate grooming. Mine had a tantrum at 5 about it lol, so I let him have a tantrum. Very few reasonable excuses for moms to expose kids in that way, no need for discussion about menstruation or shaving for many years. She's a sicko. That poor baby, she's being groomed for worse, imo

    Excellent video Jessica. Her account is new to me and it’s so obviously exploiting her child for money. She knows it brings views/saves. People actually defend her as “mom shaming”? Wow…They don’t get it. It’s videos like yours that bring it to light. It’s purely for the money and it sadly feeds really really creepy people out there. She’s hiding behind her daughter and you’re right it’s an easy/lazy way to go about content..at some point she’ll stop I’m sure. Thankfully legislation is actually helping children exploded by their parents.

    Oh lord sorry one more comment- I remember back in 1997 when my friend took her 2 year old to a small birthday party among close friends where the kids got in the kitty pool and either they were naked or in diapers or whatever. Little 2 year old girls without bikinis on?? Ugh To me that is normal. These are little kids being children. My crazy friend was horrified and made her child get out of the pool or something I can’t remember the details but basically she *to me* was sexualizing her own child by her reaction and maybe causing shame to her child. They are innocent at that time and like to be naked. I was always naked but not on camera for pervs. Anyway. I’d love some thoughts on this

    Is there something wrong with your child seeing you in the shower or understanding how/what a tampon is? I totally disagree. There should be NO shame around bodies and especially sanitary product use and breastfeeding! You’re wrong here and should look up what a PROFESSIONAL would say about this. The exploitation of children online by their own parents is absolutely wrong, so we agree here. It’s wrong to share these moments that should be PRIVATE.

    Yes, i get that mom is gross but now you speculate that her grandma is doing it too...and you even out her 13 siblings!!!
    Totally inappropriate.

      The mother did MULTIPLE interviews with local newspapers and shared her own kids names and pictures. She also shares videos of her foster kids which I did not share. I’m sharing PUBLIC information. I didn’t just go searching for her name out of the blue. If you google a couple of things together her interviews come up in the first search. And I’m talking about Jacquelyn’s mom. Yes you’re right I did point out she has 13 siblings from a public obituary. I never shared their last names or their social media’s. Nothing identifying. They aren’t even searchable people fyi (as in her siblings). Jacquelyn is the one who shared MULTIPLE times where she went to school. I didn’t just pull out information that wasn’t already made public by a PUBLIC FIGURE. I am not Katie Joy. I didn’t share a lot identifying information. I kept this as basic as I possibly could imo. You don’t like it fine. The definition of doxxing is: search for a publish *private* or identifying information on the internet typically with malicious intent. I do not have malicious intent. I didn’t use that information in my thumbnail or title to get clicks. I would never ever talk about things that a public figure or person who was INTERVIEWED didn’t talk about. Everything I shared is such. Your comment shows you don’t have the attention to detail imo as my name isn’t Danielle. But thanks anyways for your comment. ETA: Since you referenced Katie Joy ( I didn’t know who she was but spent the last 15 minutes looking her up) I have heard about WOACB. From my research it looks like she doxxes people who don’t even share their real name online? Correct me if I’m wrong. Jacquelyn’s mother is behind the exploration of that poor girl. She needs to be named imo. Everyone is making videos thinking Jacquelyn is doing this solo. This isn’t the truth. Her mother is just as gross. My honest thoughts are I have not doxxed anyone. The fact that you’re comparing me to WOACB is absolutely ridiculous. I have good intentions and didn’t share anything that wasn’t already shared by these people who are honestly ab****g this poor child.

      If they use their kids for content then I think they’re bad. If they however showcase their life and only talk about their kids or very rarely show them then I think that it could be okay. You don’t have to agree. Clearly family channels are popular and people like yourself like them!
