Full ape Kong in my opinion would be even mote terrifying. Don't know what would trigger that though... Perhaps another Kaiju trying to Kill Gia. You hear stories of chimps biting off people's faces. Kong knuckle running at Godzilla full speed jumping from building to building, pouncing on him and sinking his canines into Godzilla's gills, trying to shove his fingers into his eyes, biting Godzilla's fingers OFF. I would not find it epic, I'd be damn near horrified and so would any Titan on the receiving end.

This is the best round, hands down. Godzilla’s unbridled savagery is on full display and the fight is creative and shows us that there is a winner. No ambiguity, no interruption by a third party. I remember when i saw this in theaters and when Kong collapsed I thought “they did it. They actually did it. Godzilla straight-up won.”
Unless you count the Showa era where he uses small techniques of judo, and karate. I do wanna see him use his spikes tho. Like the millennial version did

1:16 I am surprised no one has mention this part where Kong punches Godzilla’s wound and Godzilla let’s put the painful roar!! That to me is the greatest moment of the battle because it exhibits kong’s intellect and battle knowledge while also showing his desperation to win while also showcasing that while Godzilla is powerful, he can still get hurt and bleed like any other animal.

What I like about this round is that Godzilla acknowledges that his atomic breath isn’t going to do much against Kong’s agility, as he’s going to cause Godzilla to waste his power on the beam, so he decides to play Kong at his own game by using brute force. It really shows how lethal Godzilla can really be when tested.
Godzilla gave Kong the same demand he gives every Titan: Submit or Die. To his surprise, even when defeated, Kong refused to submit. So even though Godzilla left him to die, you can tell by his little nod that Kong earned Godzilla’s respect for never yielding even (literally) in the face of defeat.
Honestly, I feel the only reason Godzilla didn't kill Kong was because there was a bigger threat out there. Ever since Apex began constructing MechaGodzilla, Godzilla could sense King Ghidorah's "revival" so-to-speak. He knew Ghidorah was a much bigger threat and wanted to see him destroyed for good, and merely saw Kong as an obstacle at the time. After pinning him down, that was him saying, "stay out of my way". Or he knew Kong could die from his injuries and simply left him to his fate.
To me, the reason why goji was hunting kong (kinda) was because not only he is an alpha, but goji must’ve been there to see his fellow godzillas get killed by Kong’s. And he has to kill kong before kong kills him and end the war. And when kong was on the floor, goji released his anger out on him because kong reminded him of a kong that goji could not defeat, and drove him out of his home. That is another reason why godzilla was hunting kong. To kill him and get revenge on that kong by killing that Kong’s own kind.

Dude Godzilla doesn’t mess around with his Opponents, he freakin threw Kong came charging at him but missed but still came at Kong 0:57(Godzilla is incredibly fast now) and he freakin jumped on Kong 1:08. I may be a Godzilla fan but damn I felt bad for Kong

@@bigdoogen Yee, director confirmed that Godzilla spent half of his energy drilling a hole to the hollow Earth, which means he was at half capacity when fighting Kong. When he finally got to Mecha G he was exhausted and his atomic breath was also exhausted to the core. Director also said if Godzilla was fresh, the fight would've been even, and Godzilla wouldn't have lost the atomic breath battle. They even had more scenes in the works with Godzilla actually getting hits in and going back and forth with Mecha G, but scrapped them.

Them roaring at each other at the end will always be my favorite monster vs monster scene. Godzilla clearly wins but is stunned and i feel a bit impressed at the fact that this agile gorilla was still talkin shit even in defeat. Some might say round 3 was pretty one sided or it was bad , but there can or might be a way to look at round 3 as good and a respectful way and why some Kong fans should not feel too bad about it and why some Godzilla fans should look at this battle(and this round) as extremely hard and tough for Godzilla (this is my opinion so you don't need to agree with me or don't need to listen to me). Kong proved to Godzilla that he can outrun the atomic breath as Godzilla has a really hard time trying to hit Kong with it and while some other monster like Ghidorah who can take it better than Kong can, but it was way easier for Godzilla to hit Ghidorah with it than Kong Kong in round 2 took a hit from Godzilla's atomic breath when he does not have armor, just fur and use the axe or some other parts of buildings of the city hong kong to block or stop the atomic breath from hitting him, he showed his running and attacking speed is really good and his hand to hand combat is insane. Godzilla was clearly having the upper hand against Ghidorah until Ghidorah got a Power Up in 2019, that's when Ghidorah then started to have the upper hand against Godzilla and while Kong did have the axe yes, you got to know that he did not get a power up like Ghidorah did and was at first having the upper hand against Godzilla in round 2. Kong's hand to hand combat/ fighting skill in close range was so good that he made Godzilla push him into the water and makes Godzilla SPAM his atomic breath, something that Ghidorah did not make Godzilla do and Godzilla tries to keep Kong away from him and tries to prevent Kong from closing the gap in range and making sure he keeps his distance. Kong had the strength to stop the 164,000 ton Godzilla with one arm in round 2 and even tho Godzilla had a range advantage, Kong still was able to close the gap and get in close range to Godzilla, showing Godzilla that it was not impossible for Him to get back and close the range in gap between them Godzilla realizing that his atomic breath pretty much is useless at this point , is unable to keep a long range distance from Kong forever and his atomic breath takes quite a bit of energy and not to mention that he spammed his atomic breath so many times and then comes to the conclusion that he has not other way or choice but to fight Kong at close range even tho he knows how much of a beast Kong is in close range, he cant keep his distance and he cant keep using the atomic breath forever as that takes a lot of energy and more he uses it, the more energy he is using and Kong can basically keep dodging it for a very long time. Think about how much effort, energy and strength Godzilla needed to put Kong Down without using his atomic breath? knowing how fast Kong is, how hard it even is for Godzilla to even land hits on Kong(but not impossible), how heavy Godzilla is? This was one hell of a fight, round 3 shows Godzilla trying his ABSOLUTE HARDEST AND BEST HE EVER HAS AGAINST JUST ABOUT ANY MONSTER without using any powers and going mad man/angry mode against KONG, he tries keeping Kong down, making sure he does not get up, making sure Kong can't use his Strong Arms and trying to injurie Kong as much as possible and making sure he stomped on Kong so he could not run, dodge or move anymore. what do yall think about this? Fun little detail was when godzilla was searching he was flashing his dorsal plates but when kong attacks he stops but when ghidorah was infront of him in KOTM all throughout the battle he was flashing his dorsal plates
I like that the second round was the most even of the 3, since Kong put up a good fight using the enviroment to his favor and all. The first round was very one sided since the sea is Godzillas turf, and Kong only escaped with help from the military. And then the third one is just a straight up slaughter showing that there is only one true king of the monsters

This movie really shows that Godzilla is not a "good guy" or superhero or any other kind of conventionally heroic character, he's mean as hell, he certainly has helped others, but that's largely incidental, he doesn't care if he helps humans or anyone else, he cares that he beats the guy who pissed him off (MUTOs, Ghidorah, Kong), and whatever destruction he leaves behind isn't his problem which also makes his relationship with Mothra so fascinating, as she's arguably the only other being he actually likes, and that in turn adds a bit of tragedy and loneliness to Godzilla's character, as the only individual he likes frequently dies and takes time to resurrect herself, meaning Godzilla frequently must go without his only companion
For Kong to be able to push Godzilla to that level of uncontrollable primal rage just to defeat Kong speaks volumes of just how tough an opponent Kong was for the King of the Monsters. Let's be real. Not even Gidorah unleashed this side of Godzilla. That "thermal nuclear" form he used to defeat Gidorah was not his own doing or a power he unlocked by sheer will. It was a temporary boost thanks to Sakigawas sacrifice.

@@bigdoogen Yee, director confirmed that Godzilla spent half of his energy drilling a hole to the hollow Earth, which means he was at half capacity when fighting Kong. When he finally got to Mecha G he was exhausted and his atomic breath was also exhausted to the core. Director also said if Godzilla was fresh, the fight would've been even, and Godzilla wouldn't have lost the atomic breath battle. They even had more scenes in the works with Godzilla actually getting hits in and going back and forth with Mecha G, but scrapped them.
Godzilla won the fight but Kong saved the day.
Godzilla is probably relived noe that he spared Kong. Without that decision, he himself would be fried.

Them roaring at each other at the end will always be my favorite monster vs monster scene. Godzilla clearly wins but is stunned and i feel a bit impressed at the fact that this agile gorilla was still talkin shit even in defeat. It’s almost as if Godzilla tipped his hat to Kong for giving him a real run for his money and making him switch to other tactics when the beam wasn’t getting the job done. Such a sick ass fight

I love MV Goji because of his aggressiveness just the way he started crawling on all fours and judt bodyslamming to the building and I feel the weight
Some might say round 3 was pretty one sided or it was bad , but there can or might be a way to look at round 3 as good and a respectful way and why some Kong fans should not feel too bad about it and why some Godzilla fans should look at this battle(and this round) as extremely hard and tough for Godzilla (this is my opinion so you don't need to agree with me or don't need to listen to me).
Kong proved to Godzilla that he can outrun the atomic breath as Godzilla has a really hard time trying to hit Kong with it and while some other monster like Ghidorah who can take it better than Kong can, but it was way easier for Godzilla to hit Ghidorah with it than Kong
Kong in round 2 took a hit from Godzilla's atomic breath when he does not have armor, just fur and use the axe or some other parts of buildings of the city hong kong to block or stop the atomic breath from hitting him, he showed his running and attacking speed is really good and his hand to hand combat is insane.
Godzilla was clearly having the upper hand against Ghidorah until Ghidorah got a Power Up in 2019, that's when Ghidorah then started to have the upper hand against Godzilla and while Kong did have the axe yes, you got to know that he did not get a power up like Ghidorah did and was at first having the upper hand against Godzilla in round 2.
Kong's hand to hand combat/ fighting skill in close range was so good that he made Godzilla push him into the water and makes Godzilla SPAM his atomic breath, something that Ghidorah did not make Godzilla do and Godzilla tries to keep Kong away from him and tries to prevent Kong from closing the gap in range and making sure he keeps his distance.
Kong had the strength to stop the 164,000 ton Godzilla with one arm in round 2 and even tho Godzilla had a range advantage, Kong still was able to close the gap and get in close range to Godzilla, showing Godzilla that it was not impossible for Him to get back and close the range in gap between them
Godzilla realizing that his atomic breath pretty much is useless at this point , is unable to keep a long range distance from Kong forever and his atomic breath takes quite a bit of energy and not to mention that he spammed his atomic breath so many times and then comes to the conclusion that he has not other way or choice but to fight Kong at close range even tho he knows how much of a beast Kong is in close range, he cant keep his distance and he cant keep using the atomic breath forever as that takes a lot of energy and more he uses it, the more energy he is using and Kong can basically keep dodging it for a very long time.
Think about how much effort, energy and strength Godzilla needed to put Kong Down without using his atomic breath? knowing how fast Kong is, how hard it even is for Godzilla to even land hits on Kong(but not impossible), how heavy Godzilla is? This was one hell of a fight, round 3 shows Godzilla trying his ABSOLUTE HARDEST AND BEST HE EVER HAS AGAINST JUST ABOUT ANY MONSTER without using any powers and going mad man/angry mode against KONG, he tries keeping Kong down, making sure he does not get up, making sure Kong can't use his Strong Arms and trying to injurie Kong as much as possible and making sure he stomped on Kong so he could not run, dodge or move anymore.

I like that the second round was the most even of the 3, since Kong put up a good fight using the enviroment to his favor and all. The first round was very one sided since the sea is Godzillas turf, and Kong only escaped with help from the military. And then the third one is just a straight up slaughter showing that there is only one true king of the monsters

This movie really shows that Godzilla is not a "good guy" or superhero or any other kind of conventionally heroic character, he's mean as hell, he certainly has helped others, but that's largely incidental, he doesn't care if he helps humans or anyone else, he cares that he beats the guy who pissed him off (MUTOs, Ghidorah, Kong), and whatever destruction he leaves behind isn't his problem
which also makes his relationship with Mothra so fascinating, as she's arguably the only other being he actually likes, and that in turn adds a bit of tragedy and loneliness to Godzilla's character, as the only individual he likes frequently dies and takes time to resurrect herself, meaning Godzilla frequently must go without his only companion
