Heads up you have a boost leak, the diaphragm on your C revision diverter valve is torn and that's what that whistle is. Get a go fast bits DV plus and it replaces your plastic plunger and diaphragm with a brass piston.
The grill looking part underneath the stock air filter is a air diffuser that was designed to quiet the noise of the air coming in, so when you remove it, it sounds like it’s drawing in more air

Did not need to take out those 8-9 screws. U just take out the 1 big one and the 2 other sides are being held on by rubber click on thingys 😂 but o well it works. I put on my cts cai last night, turbo noises for days

Does the CTS TURBO 3″ AIR INTAKE SYSTEM FOR 1.8TSI/2.0TSI with MAF and SAI need to be tuned or can it run without a tune I have a 2013 mk6 GTI 2.0T
Its just a bolt on you can run it without a tune and be fine
Any check engine light after you installed it?
No problems or check engine lights as long as you do it right
@@GTIBROS i know this is late, but i just installed mine today and im having an issue. around 3rd gear car starts to act funky, backfires a little and has trouble shifting. heard other people have issues with this intake acting bad with the MAF sensor. any ideas?
@@TheAsazyn sounds to me like your maf could be out. Or you have leak some where. Doubel check everything you do when you installed and go from there. If you have obd11 reader start there. \
@@GTIBROS yea i had a leak. one of my connectors wasnt secured all the way and left a small gap.

what type of whine? wouldn't the dv just go out before any type of whining occurred?
GTIBROS it's like a wooden whistle type whine immediately before your intake hiss ..might need to test mine but not sure what the big deal is . But at the same time I don't wanna say that to downplay the seriousness if it is something really bad
Mine makes a whine/whistle noise when accelerating. Was even louder when I put an induction kit on it. Its got the new Rev D dv on it. Any help? It can be very annoying
@@Carjackd VW diverter valves are junk get a GFB dv+ That should fix the whistle
Chanler Florian You are right, I replaced it with an aluminium DV+ and it stopped it! Very happy. I'm gonna be honest, I bought one off ebay for £35. Very good quality. Thanks
