the 5050 manipulation doesn't work anymore but if you just change the date instead it works still on the newest version currently. I appreciate the guide😺

this actually worked, just use the current day (today) at the same time and it'll give you another 14 days.
the 5050 thing didn't work sadly so every 14 days imma have to do that.

its showing the trial period is extend but after 14 days its not working or extended in macbook air M1 (bigsur)

If you’re getting errors just set the first run date to the current date, you’re trying to use it, or delete and redownload if that doesn’t work
as of writing this, using prefs editor to edit the date to the day after the current date works and gives you 14 days you need to do that every 14 days, as for the bottles you need to set your system date to a time before they expired (for me they expired 2 days ago and it's the 8th of feb, so I set it to the 5th), open the app you want and once it opens just put your date back to normal (you need to turn off set date and time automatically to edit the date, then just turn it back on when the app is open)

In this situation where many Indie developers had refused to port their apps to apple silicon, Crossover was literally a life saver! The software is unearthly because of its efficiency in running softwares even emulated ones!

it works BUT it doesn't. It's just a change of run date but the application, when u finished your trial will lock you anyway
Bad news, this no longer works. Changing the date or year of the first run date says that the time expired. Probably they put in a secret save of the unedited date and they check in with it if the one we changed, well, gets changed.

Just learned that crossover keeps track of how much time the bottles have in a differnt thing, could you make a tutorial on that because my steam bottle just expired

i think they 'fixed' it so you cant do thousands of years like in the video, but you can still set it to the day after today so you get another 14 days

If you are having problems with expired bottles: Just delete and re-install your bottles. Make sure to copy your required files (e. g. save game files) before deleting the bottles. Works absolutely fine!
There is a way to trick the system without deleting the bottle and it's just by using the time and date on your computer. Simply change the date to when you installed the bottle, and open it. Then change your date back to the original and there you go.
Idk if this works to anyone since I did it on my mac and my crossover version is at 21, so hopefully, it works for ya.

@@NotASith I meant by changing your computer date to the past, that date where you installed the bottle before it expired.
I have a better solution for expired bottles. Turn on hidden files on your mac. And delete the two hidden date files from the bottle folder.
You will need to do this evey 14 days but it means don't have to remake the bottle each time
if you are like me and you upgraded to version 23, then simply dont delete the application but download version 22 again and repeat this video you wont have to redownload bottles or anything
You using version 23? you can no longer set the first run date to something more than current system date. You can however keep changing first run date to current system date every 14 days and it will work.
Or run my shell script which does the same

sadly after you create a new bottle, and after 2 weeks the bottle will no longer work and you have to create a new one.

When I'm trying to run one of the CrossOver apps, it says: "This is an evaluation version of CrossOver, and this bottle expired 119 days ago. Please purchase a licence to use this bottle. " :(
The application isn't expired but the bottles are. I've also had this happen to me, it sucks :(

If you get bottle expired error you need to delete two invisible files from bottle folder. ".eval" and ".update-timestamp" files. It give you another 14 days I guess. I tried 5 minutes ago and it worked.

It appears that they've patched it, but what they couldn't patch is the fact that you can change your time and date.

Hey! I have some difficulties with this program. I have tried to extend the trial version as you did and it worked. But after a moth I opened it again and the Crossover is not able to open windows applications and it says "this is an evaluation version of CrossOver, and this bottle expire 11 days ago. Please purchase a license to use this bottle and some contact further assistance". Don't you know where the problem is and what shall I do to have free version of this programe? I would be really grateful because I really need to open Windows programs!
