Upscaling isnt a valid excuse to get stingy with the vram again. We need 16GB up and down the stack. ✌
lol Warzone uses 23.5gb.16gb isnt enough
@@DonovanMcNabb5 lol no
I argee
the 4090 tuf oc was at 2200 pounds the other day, i got one when at 1800, some places had them listed at 4000, just glad i finally have one and enjoy ultra settings at 300 frames not low settings at 58 fps with a lower model.
5090 is definitely going to blow up the high end in terms of pricing. I think most people who are willing to spend more than $1200 on a video card are going to want to get it. A 5080 is not going to be as hot if it's close to the same performance as a 4090 (the same with a 5090D), so those would not look as attractive. I could see 5090 being $2,000 then those other high end cards settling down to a $1200 range. 4080 Super is going to be looking like a midrange card, which is where 5070 might be, maybe $900. Thumbs up.
Unpopular opinion but GPUs are priced accurately. I see these GPUs with high prices in stock and then they are gone. Obviously someone is buying them and they keep selling out. Don't blame nvidia, amd, intel, etc. for people's stupidity.
I havnt seen a gpu out of stock in years
well atleast scalper has there prime days gone and miners can't do stuff
No it’s definitely nvidia
I've seen models sellout but not entire tiers.
The key thing is retailers have much less GPUs in stock. Nvidia is just reducing volumes of GPUs, sent to retailers, to keep prices high.
It is a well known strategy, which they are using regularly since the first mining boom ended.
Looks like AMD is doing exactly the same thing.
1440p upscaled to 4k is just too good now, image quality is near identical and sometimes even better but the much higher framerate is hard to pass on.
Thats what Id do. 1080p to 4k isnt bad either.
I wonder if they are going to rename it again to a higher tier, like the 4080 12gb or that the 4070 super should have been a 4070 all along. They will be the scalpers again, and its 40 series all over again. Not excited, because the hardware upgrade intervals are increasing with every gen because the price to performance is just not there anymore.
I think its worse than that because because anything with 12GB shouldve been a 60 series and they know it. Thats why they came with the 16GB because it was too late to do 12.
Yeah I’m not excited either. What I find funny is that Nvidia has all the AI technology but refuses to use it to stop scalpers.
Also I better see a VRAM increase and better value in the all tiers otherwise it’s 4000 series again.
I won't hold my breath.
yeah it impossible to even find one at msrp even used people act like they're gold
I would go with either an RTX 5070 or Navi 48.
The 5070 needs 16GB VRAM on a 256-bit bus to be considered a proper next gen 70 class GPU. Otherwise, it would be dead on arrival. 12GB VRAM is simply not enough. 12GB VRAM on a 192-bit bus would be OK for the 5060.
Yeah I Believe the 5070 will come on a 12GB VRAM on a 192 bit memory bus and will cost around $500. Yeah it’s dead on arrival. For the 5060 however I would not consider it dead on arrival as it is cheap and powerful enough to ultize it effectively.
It looks like if you want 16GB VRAM on a 256 bit memory bus the 5070TI will have it but will cost around $700. Honestly this is just another stingy move by Nivdia. Yeah your AI features work well but it needs more VRAM to ultize them better.
@@AnonymousUser-ww6ns This is why competition is so important. Battlemage and RDNA 4 should launch later this year and are said to be very competitive in the midrange segment. I don't think drivers would be nearly as big of a problem for Battlemage as they were for Alchemist. If Battlemage can deliver a massive performance increase over Alchemist with good drivers at reasonable prices, I think there is a good chance Intel will gain quite a bit of market share in the discrete GPU market. The flagship RDNA 4 GPU is rumoured to offer 7900 XT levels of raster performance and 4080 RT performance at half the price, which would be fairly impressive. If RDNA 4 and Battlemage can deliver powerful midrange GPUs at reasonable prices, then hopefully, it will convince Nvidia to pack significantly more processing power into their entry level and midrange GPUs. Competition can make that happen, and it benefits us consumers. It's the key to a healthy industry. RDNA 4 and Battlemage should hopefully be highly competitive in the low end and midrange segments, and then RDNA 5 and Celestial should hopefully bring the heat to Nvidia in the high end and enthusiast class segments.
just bought a titan xp for 200usd so im good for another 3 years...after that card goes to a museum🤪🤑
Yeah I’m not excited for 5000 series at all. I think it going to repeat the 4000 series scam with VRAM and price along with price out budget gamers.
I will keep watching the Mirco Center Refurbished section to see any updates. I might consider getting the 4070TI super at around $500.
And just for FUN I will do it on the day the stupid 5090 gets released
ditch nvidia and go for amd or intel
gamers do not need nvidia bloatware to game !
The price is definitely bloated.
unlucky for me, I have to do video editing 🥲if I only do pure gaming, gonna go for AMD for sure
Sadly, no. AMD are far behind when it comes to features outside gaming and efficiency. And even in gaming they're way behind with FSR and RT. Intel aren't even worth mentioning with the other two being behind both with barely working and wonky Arc products.

Another pipedream thinking NV will lower prices to what it should have been in the first place. The 4080 should only be 750-800 and yet they sell it at 1000. Do you think they're going to lower it down to 750-800? No way! It's the same for each stack all overpriced by 150-200. Yet, people bought them. Not holding my breath.
Now you tell me!
I just bought an RX 6650XT on Amazon Prime for $210.
Overpriced. That thing is worth about $120
@@DonovanMcNabb5 How so?
Its performance is close to an RX 7600 or RTX 4060, and about 20% better than an RX 6600, which goes for about $180 on sale.
I thought I had done my research. Please tell me what I should have bought for $120 instead.
Not bad! Five years ago that performance wouldve been $700 and people are still paying almost double what you paid for 8GB. And with FSR 3.1 youre better off than they were at the time.
@@antondovydaitis2261 It shouldve been called the rx7400. The 6650 has been that price for a good 2 years now. I was able to grab a few used 6600 for $100 spring 2023.
He's wrong, you got a good card for a good price.@@antondovydaitis2261
They will dip dpwm 50 dollars maybe 100. Also everyone is buying idk what you are talking about they just arent going to buy msrp. But yeah dont expect much drop.
You'd have to be crazy to buy 4000 right now. 🤪🤪
@BlackJesus8463 naw tbh you would be crazy waiting if you wrre buying a 5080 or under. Yall will be disappointed this generation. The 5090 will be nice af though.
I know very little about PC's and basically anything about computing performance. Can someone point me to a reputable gaming laptop that is current and expandable for when I do?
How far do you guys think the 4080 super will drop?
Depends on where the 5080 come out at, 1200 for marginal bump in performance. So 800-900 dollars probably. Every GPU should be shifted a tier down in pricing, except for the 4090. Wouldn't be surprised if it stayed around 1500.
$100?
I expect the RTX 5080 to replace the RTX 4080 Super and cost $999.
@@arenzricodexd4409 I think it will at least drop down to 4070 ti super price this year and even more as they get rid of the inventory that remains next year. Also after that by middle of next year I expect that you could buy one used on ebay for $600 to $700.
@@theonerm2This is unrealistic scenario. $1200 is the price they want to sell '80 class cards for. They clearly showed it with the release of 4080. Maybe we will see 5080 Super for $1000 a year later, but it will thoroughly depend on what AMD and Intel offer by that time.
2025 is still a long ways away
Thought the 80 was coming out this year and the ddr7 delay was a rumor.
NOOOOO!!!!!
Go higher!!!!!
Trade in value for 5090!!!!!!!!!!!
were? hell even a 4080 is always higher than msrp that is current not past tense
my 4090 was free thankfully
