Series 16 of stars in Their Eyes featuring Barbie Allen ( aka Toni Lee) as Karen Carpenter.
With now over 30 years experience on the stage Toni now is so proud and feels truly humbled to be performing as The Voice of the wonderful Karen Carpenter in her own touring theater show. THE CARPENTERS SONGBOOK . Performed with total respect and love of the timeless music of The Carpenters, a celebration of Karen Carpenters life and spirit. Keeping the portrayal and music as accurate and authentic as possible.
Backed by a fantastic fully live Line up of musicians & backing singers.
Occasionally also performs in the Irish Production of 'We've Only Just Begun', playing in venues such as Bord Gais, Cork Opera House also with a full 30 piece orchestra.
Toni does feel extremely blessed having her dream come true enjoying singing songs by her childhood idol whom she feels taught her to sing, ' The finest vocal coach any singer could wish for' Toni quotes.
* With many more exciting times ages, keeping the music alive for generations to come.
Richard Carpenter was a pure genius in his musical arrangements, they worked long and hard to show the world their talents, and along with some amazing lyricists and discovering the voice that melted millions of hearts, we do hope we make The Carpenters extremely proud.

Karen had one in a million voice which made her the special & unique person that she was so very hard to replicate it but you do a fine job, very close indeed so I give you a lot of praise & this is my favourite Carpenter's songs. Thanks for keeping her memory alive.

There are literally hundreds of cover artists all over the internet whos main claim to fame is covering Karen. Miss Toni, never heard of you until earlier today when I stumbled on one of your videos "Toni Lee sings Karen Carpenter Live full show Cork Opera House." Excellent vocals you have indeed. And knowing you are inspired by Karen, having your own (God-given) vocal range, and her memory is a treasure. Not many in the entire world have your tone that is so close to Karen's. I watched your Cork show yesterday, Toni but I couldn't comment on it. I hope you will forgive me for commenting here. My introduction to the Carpenters was my old Dad. He had the gatefold vinyl of the album 'Yesterday Once More' that me and my brother nicked (haha) along with many of his 'old' records. My Dad was a straight John Bull, Yorkshire miner: a wonderful man but a man of few words but he always said Karen had the most incredible voice he had ever heard which he described as 'honey'. I lost my Father six years ago, he was a very sick man towards the end but the things he gifted me, my love of the Carpenters being one of them, keep him alive for me. I miss him dreadfully most days but yesterday was a dark day. I'm not unique or special, anyone who has lost someone will recognise this. I watched your Cork show and it lifted me. You are are truly someone special. Never stop doing what you do. I hope you realise how keeping this incredible voice alive you affect people in ways you probably don't even realise. God bless.

In our country she is still popular even with younger generation. We also have Karen Carpenter of Philippines Claire dela Fuente who died in 2020. RIP.
