Nothing wrong with a 305. They were not designed to be a high performance engine. They do what they were designed to do. The one I am running now has 100,000 miles on it, and it is smooth, quiet, and very dependable. Take care of it, and it will last. I've had 283, 327, 350, and 383 engines...all good solid engines. I can't knock anyone of them, including the 305. How about some more engine build videos.

Good to see your back hope all is well. Yeah water and freezing don't go to well also proof not to trust freeze plugs to save a block. 305's get a bad rap but I've had a few that will run with a healthy 350.
