- Heartland Recovery Admissions Coordinator Erick Tribble knows what it is to hit rock bottom. "I started doing drugs at a young age and it kind of followed me through my teenage years into my 20s and 30s." Two overdoses later, facing prison for another felony charge, a divorce and losing his kids finally brought him to the place of crying out to God for help.
Now going on ten years clean, Erick considers himself blessed to be able to help others find the hope and peace he found through Jesus Christ. He tells men and women who call for help that "change is one of the hardest things in recovery. You have to step out of that familiarity and that comfort that you get from drugs and alcohol-all that you have to throw that out the window-and you have to step out in faith... You just have to take that one step and God will be there."
Whether you are seeking help personally or for a loved one who is in addiction, Erick recommends that you "seek help and seek help fast. Don't put it off, because in the end, drugs-all drugs-lead to death." Contact Heartland Recovery today!
