2:16 => Neither the thinker, nor the one who is obsessively thought about. Thinking is mechanical. No need to take ownership of it.
Not that it matters ;) what I think but I do agree with Paul about endless retreats. I went on one retreat about 10 yrs ago in Asheville, NC with Adyashanti. I realized right off that it was a mistake to think I could find anything but the story of "me" the seeker being reinforced here and never went to another.
There has been a lot of morphing and "moving" on this pathless path and many things have changed over the years of seeking but whether I am exploring Non Duality, Neo Advaita, Advaita Vedanta, Chan, any and all forms of Buddhism ( Dzogchen resonates) I always come back to the clarity of Pauls teachings and most importantly his pointing to the "dilemma". Love this authentic man.

We've been misplaced, we've been put at another reference point and that reference point, what we are, doesn't seem to be available so we are looking for it. Which, as St Francis tried to correct "what's looking is what you are looking for.'' We don't see that because we think we already know what is looking , which is Paul, the body, which it isn't. If the shoe fits….
The problem with all the teachings are that some sort of process or transformation is required rather than just seeing what we are not. What we are not seems to increase resistance when transforming meaning the heaviness increases rather than decreases. While seeing what are not is effortless flowing.
Every expression of That - Nonduality - in This, Duality, has its limitations by nature, just as apparent people do (and some of them than others! Haha). Expressions can take the form of “spiritual“ Nonduality teachers among many other forms.
And, keep in mind that many things Paul is saying, such as “Once you ‘get it’, you won’t go to satsang anymore” - are not meant literally - it’s just rhetorical, in order to get a certain message past the head and talk directly to the boundless field of awareness, so to speak…
Or about not thinking: a thorn can be used to remove another thorn: a thought used to remove false beliefs, the belief to be a human being, in dialogue or in Self Inquiry. Because he does not do that with students doesn’t mean it’s unapplicable for some. It’s just his style and limitation. He’s not that kind of sharp instrument. He’s more creative and flamboyant. Cuts right to the chase.
But that more “surgical" deconstruction process of removing beliefs worked for here along with meditation (Liberation happened). However, “what happened” or happens is all unaccountable. We can't do anything and have no will has human beings. We don't exist. Consciousness holds all the cards. That’s why we have concepts like Grace, despite it being dualistic.
Paul may accidentally gives an impression of some sort of finality or conclusion. There is no such thing. It’s infinite.
I don’t go to Paul because I’m seeking anything. I like to check in on my friends who go, plus I just enjoy a colleagues expression and ways of putting things (can use in my own writig): it's fun, funny, and useful.
Spiritual teachings are not true. They are only useful, is what I keep saying...

Dear Paul, thank you so much for your satsang.
It is always very helpful to realise, again and again, that if ever opinions are claimed by 'me', immediately come 'right or wrong' and we know how easy it is to get lost in that.
So fortunate to have come into contact and resonate with this message of Non duality, cause to observe how this mechanism governs us changes many things even and if nothing around changes.
It really is something so precious, thank you for your zoom meeting and you tube...I live in Italy, but tune in with your satsangs is such a good company,it's like hearing an eco inside, very well known...every time it surprise and wonder me!! Thank you!

Seeing I'm not that is not a cognitive process as assumed here. It's energetic which goes much deeper than cognition.
