You're right. but thats what Absolute Reality (God) sees itself, not separate. But from our point of view we are the interface to experience that Unity. Do you know the meaning of Man in Arabic? It means the pupil of the eye. God is the seing and we are the interface of that experience.
Ego is the tools to see reality not the goal. human love gold because it glitters and does not fade. The ego actually desires "Infinity" and gold is the closest object it sees. Spiritual people fast because spirit is real and it doesnt need food to live. Mind Body needs foods but no food can make it lasting. In short our spirit lives in infinity and conciousness experience that we bring after we die will find the abode of its compatability either in hell for eternity or in bliss for eternity.
