This is one of my favorite vlogs. I really felt like we were just hanging out with you guys. I don't mind we couldn't see the fireflies... It was great to just take it all in. Chris and Mindy had the tent process down! Including using little brushes as they rolled up the mat. :)

Thanks for sharing! There is a state park here in Ga. we camped in last year during this time. We were not expecting such but there was thousands of fireflies in sync. I had only heard of this in the GSMNP and I'm sure what we seen was was nothing compared to Elkmont but it was amazing. So glad you got to go!

Love the lightening bugs. We saw them in 2004 before the lottery started. We didn’t know about them until a ranger told us. Awesome! June 22nd is when our Pa synchronous lightening bugs start. Biologists from the Smokies came up and verified the Tionesta fireflies. We need to see our lightening bugs so we can say we saw both.

Nice video, and perfect background music. (My family and I stopped at Elkmont campground briefly in the Fall a few yrs ago. It was a few weeks before the horrible fire that tore through the Gatlinburg area. So happy to see that the Elkmont area was spared. Beautiful area!)

you guys can buy my tent. it's a ozark 10 person tent (lots of space). got it for over 130 brand new about 6yrs ago and camped in it only 3 times. trying to sell it for $50. The bag it comes it ripped so i currently have it in a duffel bag

By the way,that spider is called a "wolf spider". And they can jump nearly 3 ft. I live in the woods and I was going to drop a book on one and it jumped and scared me to death. Now I just back up and walk away!!
