Ken Tinkler: 'We had to tell Japanese war was over'

Former radar operator Ken Tinkler served with the Royal Navy and was in Tokyo at the time of the Japanese surrender in September 1945.
Mr Tinkler, 96, who hails from Peterborough but now lives in Birmingham, served on the destroyer HMS Quadrant but found himself onboard USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay when the surrender papers were signed.
