Everyone knows the Switch 2 exists, and Nintendo knows that we know.
Issue is, if they're aiming for a Q1 '25 release, it's WAY too early to reveal it.

Regular Direct will be in June, and Switch 2 reveal in September or October. Switch 2 release in March 2025.

I just realized that the guy who said that some kind of direct was this month was correct. Maybe that means the Switch 2 reveal in June is still possible.

It feels like Nintendo’s entire marketing and development teams have been on vacation for a year and a half. They probably get back in late 2024 if the switch 2 ever comes out. Nintendo has left everybody high and dry. We are already up the creek. If they don’t make an announcement soon it is like they are taking away the paddle and draining the creek.

It's not a pivot, it's a show. We've covered other stuff on my channel in the past, but we're still primarily a Nintendo channel. VG News, however, will cover everything. :)
I never believed any of the rumors for Directs or anything this or next month. I guess we finally have something.
i cant believe you only have the one game wishlisted on steam theres 1000s of great games on steam now and i have a ridiculous amount wishlisted on mine. im excited for the indie showcase hoping for a ton of cozy games silksong and plucky squire also news on professor layton. as for the ps5 pro i'll be keeping my savings for nintendos next console because nothing wrong with my ps5 i got now.

Maybe it is for real this time. But the day I get hyped and excited is the day Nintendo actually reveals it.

2021 is when Nintendo literally confirmed they had new hardware in the works, hardware that Nintendo Accounts would be working on.
@@NintyPrime your right, and respectfully, that is also when the endless hype train began, everyone was saying "this is the year" for 3+ years now and 3+ years of so many fake rumors and unofficial leads passed by us year on end.
These are the types of things I don't get excited for until either an official reveal, or a leak on the level of Us getting the prototype name reveal early like what happened to the switch back in 2016 I believe.
Just years of the internet milking so much that lead to nowhere until recent REAL developments within the last year kind of took it's toll on me and probably others too. This goes with anything that is once rumored or leaked to exist on the internet.
Most of it is just hype bait to get exposure
@@NintyPrimeok, but the issue is yall rumor channels do the same 4 videos on how It'll release in X timeframe, be "This" powerful, have these resolution capabilities, have these games like omfg at least TRY to take a break from rumors for a minute
I really wish we have a huge information blowout with the console reveal along with the entire launch lineup and other upcoming games for the system. They could just get straight to what we want to see

Or Nintendo is done with major gaming events in the summer i personally think that Nintendo prefers to do their own thing in the summer time especially after E3 went south so while i do agree that Switch 2 won't come out til next year now and due to that all the really good 1st party games will be saved for that console i don't think it holds water to say that they might not still have good games coming this year or that that's their reason for not going to Gamescom perhaps they just would rather do their own thing that's just my opinion and I'm just saying...

Gamescom for Nintendo in transition years tend to be dedicated more to the outgoing generation and Europe-specific features and releases. If we get a May/June Direct announcing everything releasing before the launch of Switch 2 and everything is a worldwide release with no changes between regions, then Gamescom becomes les important.
Here’s my guess. Indie World tomorrow. General Direct in May, either sometime during the week before, the day of, or the week after the May quarterly investor briefing. Switch 2 teaser trailer in June/July. September Direct being the blowout full reveal. Switch 2 release sometime between January and March 2025.

Nate, that’s exactly where my heads been at to fill the Nintendo void this Holiday Season. For years, people have insisted it could never happen because it’s too tough to emulate the N64 hardware yet Analogue is set to release their rendition of the N64 later this year. I know Nintendo can do it and my body is more than ready for the N64 CLASSIC EDITION!
I'm still hoping to see Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Switch in Spring this year.

But other than that, I hope the other indie/AA games decides to get ported for Nintendo switch like Pizza Tower, Spark The Electric Jester franchise, Natti, Nova Drift, Peglin, Oblivion Override, Wizard With A Gun, Gunfire Reborn, and Plucky Squire.

Nintendo are transitioning horribly to the switch 2. Couldn't be worse. Just dumb by them.
I’m glad you can see it the Switch has overstayed its welcome. Nintendo is on a horrible send off of the Switch. We have a massive drought with not much games coming and after Zelda Tears of the Kingdom their quality of games has greatly fallen. Pair that with Nintendo never dropping Switch price the whole generation. Along with never mentioning or hinting of a Switch successor when we are 7 years in this consoles life span. The only hype generated is from Nintendo channels not the company themselves. At this point I would not be surprised if the Switch 2 launches in 2026 and flops due to them being to freaking late.
