Axl at the Freddie tribute was one the greatest live performances ever. Axl in his prime was PHENOMENAL.
Freddie Mercury was top form for Axl
Axl Rose has been & is an inspiration to me ever since I was 8 or 9 yrs old & my Uncle Blan turned me onto them while we would drive around Boca Raton & Naples Florida on either side of Alligator Alley. I used to make people call me Axl when I was really young. I dressed up like Axl, Slash & Gene Simmons from Kiss multiple times for Halloween starting from 4th or 5th grade. Greatest frontman & band in my generation from 1980' -2000'
Great Memories. I'm trying like hell to see them with Slash & Duff back in toe! Damn Un Vaxed haters in Canada government won't let me go to concerts because of my '💉 'status'. Saw them or Axl Rose with Papa Roach & Sebastion Bach opening back in 2007. I can remember 'Baz'
Periodically coming out to assure us all that Axl Rose was really coming & then finally there! 🤣 In Ft.Myers Florida. Great Time.! 🤘🎸
Yeah it's my favorite. He's totally in his prime.
Elton nearly killed the song, Axl brought it back from the dead....
Fantastic!
Axl back in the day was like a piece of musical clay.. he could mould himself into any genre or style of music.. what an amazing talent.
truly one of a kind
Thank nice 😁👌🏆
And now he's like playdoh.

Yes,but just a crying shame that he made it all to be about him and just act like a complete wanker,he still and will always be my favourite though
I don't think there can be any dispute that Axl Rose is the most intense singer and frontman of all time. Otherworldly intensity and passion!

Axl's explosive entry onto the stage at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in '92 for Bohemian Rhapsody will forever bring me goosebumps. Absolute fucking legend energy just bursting from him as he hypes the crowd up solely by EXISTING. Fucking phenomenal frontman, he is. Never was. Is.
he definitely got that crowd rocking. Commanded that stage instantly
and it adds more when nobody knew if he was going to go back for this. And yes... it is explained by brian may
Thanks, you put my thoughts into words.
Just gave me goosebumps too mate 👍 29/03/24
To see Axl rock a crowd like he did at the Freddie Mercury tribute is AMAZING
That show was one of his best vocal performances IMO

He def steals the spotlight!
i know. you saw petty's face when axl was singing with him. he was blown away and didn't even want to seing with him to let his voice shine. i wouldn't want to sing a duet with him cause it makes even the best singer look bad, lol! you know what i mean, lol.
And it's not a good thing. The fucked up part of his voice is that's not even his voice he's making an annoying screaming squealing pig noise and that's not singing

So glad I got to experience Axl's voice and energy during my teens and twenties. Cruising to GNR and later listening to it as I was starting my career made anything and everything seem possible. Still does...even in my 50's😁
That's awesome you got to experience them in their prime. Thanks for sharing!!!
When I started workforce I would turn up my radio when welcome to the jungle played. My older coworkers hated that. Didn't realize it was inappropriate
Same. I was almost 17 when Appetite came out and they were the best rock band back then.
Ive always wished that I was in my 20s in the 80s! I never got to fully experience how amazing it was back then. I was born in 81 and I still can't get over how amazing it makes me feel thinking about growing in the 80s! What an amazing decade in the history of humanity!

Axl could sing the phone book and make it captivating!! ❤When he’s on stage no body else matters, best ever!

14:57 Thanks so much for including the St Louis '91 "Rocket Queen" incident. I must have seen that clip 100 times and it'll never not make me laugh. The military/police cap, the black fur, the white lycra shorts, the tantrum, the greatest stage dive in history... an absolute riot!
it really has nothing to do with greatest singing moment, but its just a hilarious moment (for those not in attendance) that had to be on there. Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m from the St Louis area but on the Illinois side! A guy I know was in the Johnny In the Spot when the riot broke out and it was flipped over. He was covered in actual shit and had to ride in the back of the truck all the way home to Illinois! True story.
First time I ever even heard of this , so to see it !! I had to keep watching it over n over because I was so shocked!! I can't believe I never heard about this!! Wow!! What did the guy have?? A video camera or something??? Anyone know??🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@amyv8181 Holy shit lmao
What did the guy have it was such a bitch dive off the stage literally a belly flop but over what seriously a video camera I can't imagine it was anything absolutely worth throwing himself off the stage I love how he grabbed his leather police hat off right before he does his belly flop with don't forget the pointed toe that he kicks into the air like he was swimming I couldn't figure it out what was it I know I'm just going to laugh . I grew up a teenager with g and r went to 5 shows appetite for destruction was the best I and use your illusion OMG when don't cry came out I think my boyfriend and I at the time 14 made out to that song for the entire year
Axl is still so awesome, anybody who thinks differently should do want he did for decades and see if their voice changes ❤
His song production may have been lacking over the last 30 years, but his touring has pretty much been non stop since 2006, that definitely takes a toll on your voice and body. Impressed he can still do what he does
A singer who definitely left a mark on the earth 🌎
He still can turn up the heat and blaze new paths on Mother Earth when he wants. Just singing like its 1989 for a 2.5 hour show every other night is not sustainable at 60 years old. He still has his moments where he shows he still has it. If he did vintage Axl for an entire show for an entire leg, I think that would be the last straw in trashing his vocals
And a few in his underwear lol

I was 17 when Use Your Illusion came out, in college when someone really almost mentally destroyed me. It saved me if I really think about it. Won’t be happening anytime soon, rip Freddie.
If you watch him he wants everything professional and those playing with him should know all he's asking is for them to do what he knows they are capable of. The first time I heard him and watched him sing : "Never Say Goodbye" truly blew me away. I took pictures of him on my tv! He first humbly took a deep breath and was so happy to have performed that masterpiece masterfully. He then humbly took a bow and in between an "awe shux"look. Also, its not a 1 night thing, he has to last the whole tour. I too wish I could see all these live, especially Sailing. That was something else!
ME TOO BROTHER.

That was absolutely phenomenal. Made me admire him even more. Thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed it! It took a while to put together, so I definitely appreciate your appreciation!

Axl is a force!
to be reckoned with!
stuff he did for acdc was amazing! fits amazingly
and he did it in standard tuning like the record, not 1/2 or full step down that AC/DC was playing recently. NUTS!!!
ACDC and AXL @ The Olympic Stadium London were amazing, first musicians to play the Olympic Stadium London aswell, he had a plaster cast on his leg 🦵 😳 😀
I saw them 1992 and will see them again in 2023. These guys are icons.
ive seen them about 16 times, dont plan on stopping.
Never ceases to amaze with his inhuman control of his mixed voice!!!
Could go from the lowest lows to the highest highs. Crazy range!
Man, the Freddie Mercury tribute concert might be the pinnacle of Axl's carreer. Quite compelling!
He was on fire that show vocally
Axl Rose is certainly one of the greatest voices in music.

they have tons of solid concert footage that hopefully gets released from the vault one day!

Sailing... Someone posted without video, a lot of people said it was fake... Not anymore.
I love how when the moment came, Axl didn't over sell it. He just gave good AC/DC. As much as I wanted Jack Black to do this at the time, he would have over-sold it.
Axl definitely respected Angus and let him be the focus of the show. Axl mostly hung in the back, sang his heart out, delivered a show, but didn't take over the stage like he does with GNR or any other person he is on stage with. They actually played the songs in standard tuning which is what the songs were recorded in and I believe a full step higher than they were playing them live. Very impressive!
guns n roses was the band that introduced me to the rock n' roll world in my teenager, i met this band through my brother and i fell in love, i love guns n roses

Amazing vocal range power to express his incredible "emotional range". He is a very authentic performer, means every word he sings. Pours so much energy, emotion, passion into every note he sings. There's never been anyone like him, there is none now and never will be again. A true rock god. How can anybody forget such an unforgettable voice and image?

Holy shit…. Bro
I think we watched it at the exact same time hahaha
I was literally going to post something about that.
hell yeah!
Saw the original lineup at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in December 1988. Next morning me and my mates were walking by a record store and heard patience blaring out of the music store speakers - I promptly went in and bought a copy of GNR Lies. The concert was one of the best I’ve seen. If anyone is more interested as to what they were like in those early years of their fame take a look at “Live at the Ritz” - it’s the closest I can parallel to the concert I saw in Sydney all those years ago 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻loved the version of Nice Boys Don’t Play Rock n Roll by Rose Tattoo - up the Tatts! 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Thank you so much for this compilation. It is obvious that a lot of people people love concert video footage. Thank God I saw Guns N' Roses two times during the UYI era. Once with Izzy and once with Gilby. They were beyond magical. I will be the first to admit it would be an ultra blessing to be able to sing like him and have that stage confidence too. He had zero fear of an arena staring at him.
