When did KFWB become a news station? Think it is around the corner from Capital Records. Use to live in Hollywood. Many years ago. Lived in LA for 12 years. KHJ was on Melrose. KRLA was one of my favorite stations. Miss all of them. I can still pick up 1070 on my radio here 400 miles away. Of course, now it would be easier just to go to the web site.

870 am KRLA now is the answer (conservative talk station)
1070 am KNX continues in news with 97.1

Title is clickbait or uploader didn't do his research. Maybe the KFWB stuff is late 50s, but that's it. The KHJ stuff is mid-60s, the CBS News sounder didn't come out until 1968, etc.
