I slowly turned that dial and whispered a prayer so I could hear that voice, that music, or that 'soap opera'. These were usually channels that were 'between' the close by radio stations. And I never could get them to tune in again. Folks don't know what they are missing when you can't hear that 'ghost channel'.

That are radiowawes, which are not carying any informations in your distance (like a music or speech). So speakers are transmitting only "the sound of radiowawes", the ghost channel.
