Secondly, the number on the tail is basically a large sticker, that can be changed in very short order at an airshow in the event that another jet needs to be subbed for a demo. During winter training like this, it is very common to see jets flown out of numerical position order. There's no point in changing it for a closed practice flight. Sometimes you'll even see multiple jets of the same number during a flight (Two #3s, for example).
