With all of today's digital tech, it's funny how quickly we forget about 'Old School', like the power of just a simple pencil sketch, and patient application of a good ole hand engraving tool... thx!

It's called Chinese White from Winsor & Newton

Thank you! It's just heated vinegar, the fumes are enough to darken brass

Hi I use an Enset pneumatic engraving machine

How can I stop my lighter from rattling while i try to engrave it? My problem is the lighter is hollow and the vibration rattles the tip of my engraver so I cant cut into the metal...
I use the actual lighter inside of the case when I engrave it to give it support. Hope that helps
Also in this video I have the Zippo on some Thermoloc, which is the plastic I melt that also helps keep it steady
@@atethosjewelry Thank you for the response, the insert helps but I wish I had tools so sharp... Maybe I will try a wood insert to solidify the case.

Likely some type of “tack”
Blue tack is used in a lot of precise work.
