ANOTHER great video and ANOTHER great bushcraft skill!! Thanks Dave!! I noted also that when you your using the split sapling, though I am sure there are situations the 'V' stick would be helpful, the cordage you tied around the top of the sapling, seemed to work very well holding the worked piece in place. As you perssed down, the wood tilted upward against the paracord and held there. Thanks again!

Dave With all the items you make out of trees and branches I am suprised you haven't made a early european shaving horse. If you did make one I missed the video please put a link to it. Great learning information. Mike

More good stuff Dave! The level of research you have been doing has really come through on all of your vids over the last couple years. I can never wait to see what kinds of tools and tips you'll come up with next! Be careful or you are gonna find yourself with a history degree lol.

Nice video Dave. This will come in handy around a BushCamp. Especially since I'm losing my grip as I get older.

Really enjoy watching your informative videos, very helpful. I live on a small island called the Isle of Wight off the south coast on England, so we don't have really large forests like you, but I still enjoy wild camping and woodcraft in the small forests and copses that I am allowed to go. Our laws are very very restrictive too, but watching you in your country and environment looks liberating. Thanx for the time and effort you put into your vids and in sharing your knowledge.

thanks for the vids .I think you will enjoy using the draw knife more if you turn it over , so that the bevel is down . this affords you better control to rise back out of the work after diving in. when I teach scout groups (youth) to use a draw knife I tell them to pull it on a skew and slide it sideways while pulling .this way you are using the full length of the tool. much more efficient .love the woods wisdom videos keep up the good work.blessed be.

I really love your vids. I think you do a lot better with out Cody!! Do you have a catalog or anything to order videos or what not? Thanks Buddy keep up the good work. Mark

Is your jacket from bass pro?made by Columbia
if so, I have the same including the pant, I am very disapointed in it and do NOT recomend it, wore out in a very short time, just a few weeks, pilled and lost wool fibers untill only the base fabric remained which is not very strong ripped easily at stress points

    • @floridanelson

MySweiss Yep, either is a good choice. Since that kabar is more expensive than either, go for the bushlore, it has a much nicer handle.
