7:39 there's what appears to be a big line of air bubbles. Also you should use the other side of the squeegee to really force it out the edges as there is where it will start to lift first.
Another tip is to do this in the bathroom after the room is completely steamed up from running the shower, that will remove a lot of dust from the air. Also try not to lean over the top of the screen prior to installing the protector as any dandruff or skin might fall onto it. Last but not least, leave the phone for a few hours unfolded after installing, this will allow the adhesive to fully bond before you force it to fold.

Air purifier is another useful way of cutting down any floating dust specks.

LOL this whole shower waiting and waiting for Jesus Christ to come over to show his beaming light bs to put a screen protector is all bs. JUst use a lamp look at edge and dont hesistate when putting it on more then anything.

Firstly, thank you so much Digital Slang - this was the tutorial that I followed and it was much better than Whitestone Dome's tutorial. You were calm and explained all the steps perfectly!
Secondly, thank you to white stone dome for making an easy to use, at home kit. The JIG was a life safer as I have shakey hands and the quality of the screen protector is better than Samsung's stock screen protector so hopefully it lasts longer. My Z Fold 3 feels brand new! Hopefully I can get another few years out of it.
Note: I used a sheet of paper to between the screen and the stock screen protector to help get it off. I changed my protector immediately in the evening but with lots and lots of lighs (even a head torch!) so I could see any dust. I then waited all night and half the next day before I did the first fold to give the glue maximum time to adhere.
A really well put together video, so a massive 👍 up to that mate. followed it to a T
Went on my Z3 with no problems at all.
But the bastard cracked after just four days.
On charge over night and woke up to the crack.
As any of you guys out there tried another different one? Idea's would be great if you have any.

Nice demo i followed your directions when i did my 1st fold no problem. Had 2 replace fold reordered this product and this time film did not seperate at the edge of jig like 1st time. Resulted having to cut. Bubbles everywhere not sure if this material is different

Wanted to add that curing the screen protector helps it stay on longer. Slight heat will cure it. Don't go blowing a hair dryer on it. Just place the phone open in some direct sunlight for a few moments/minutes (not 100 degree weather!). Enough heat that it warms up the surface area but not enough to heat interior phone. Then leave the phone open for a while as well. I've read a few comments on reddit of people leaving it open over night while they slept with great results.
That could be overkill and all but it's better than having to order mutiple screen protectors because the fold keeps popping off the center of the screen protector.
Seriously take your time with laying it down. I thought I was going slow but ended up with air bubbles that are next to impossible to push out. I had to order another protector because I screwed it up by trying to lift a corner to lay back down and now that corner is str8 fkd.

Had a couple tiny scratches on the outside hinge. Samsung says it out of warranty for just that. Says they don't do partial repairs so it would cost over 5 hundred to repair. No issues with phone at all. Just screen protector was cracking at the fold. The claim the small sctrches on the hinge messed up the inner scree
I tried WSD. After several times, got my money back. Installation was perfect. But only lasted 2 months for the 1st before lifting from the fold. 2nd lasted a week. 3rd lasted 2 minutrs.
During all this I was fighting Samsung, asurion and VZW about warranty. Verizon finally replaced my device under warranty. Looks great and works great. Even some issues I thought were app related have resolved with replacement device
Moral of the story: Samsung warranty is a scam. They will try anything to not honor their warranty. Had this issue in tablets and watches too. This was they only time I didn't win against Samsung but I won just the same in the end

This worked out great for me after my default Samsung screen began to bubble and crack in the middle. The key indeed is to use the sticker for all the dust and use that alcohol swab to thoroughly clean the screen. Phone feels like brand new now and I notice it a lot when I fold the phone.

@@firmolopez8611 yep I had to, the factory one was badly cracked in the middle and bubbling up sideways. So far the dome is still holding up and made me love my fold 3 all over again. Writing on it with the spen feels actually better than the factory.

Do you have to remove the factory protector, installed by Samsung? or can you put it on the one you have? is there a difference?
FYI they don't warranty this item. I tried it and the edge chipped and spidered after a day and then cracked from top to bottom down the fold
I found this out the hard way too after mine cracked along the hinge after 3 weeks.

I've had my Whitestone Dome Silk installed on my Fold 3 for about a week now. It was very easy to install, it looks and feels great. It's only been a week though, so I'll have to see how it holds up as time goes on.

Update: Just over three weeks in, and my Whitestone Dome Silk screen protector has cracked in the center. But not because of something that I did wrong, I didn't drop it, or mishandle it. I just opened up this morning and saw that it was cracked. Plus I don't repeatedly open and close, and open and close my phone everyday. I only open and close my phone about 10 times max throughout the entire day.
I can't recommend this product at all, $90 just wasted. I wish I had kept the pre-installed factory screen protector on it instead, there was really nothing wrong with the factory pre-installed screen protector.
@@Super-c00n I agree 100% Mine cracked after 3 weeks too and it was installed perfectly. It was great while it lasted. Too bad Whitestone won't replace it.

Yep, mine too after about 3 weeks. Turns out this protector is not covered under their warranty so there goes $90. It was awesome before it cracked though.
The second one I bought lasted 3 weeks as well. I can't recommend this screen protector at all if it's going to last that long. I feel likes its false advertising on white stone to say it last a certain amount of time when it doesn't.
Same thing happened to mine within 3 weeks randomly happened no falls or squishing at all. And now they took it off the website

you wont really know until you take it off. I was 100% sure I had micro-cracks in the Ultra Thin Glass but after I took the stock protector off I saw that the cracks were in that and not the phone. If you can feel them from the outside with your fingernail they are probably just in the protector

The discontinued it because the only ones that did not shatter are those with affiliate links. It was a terrible product. Their new PET film is actually perfect though. Same installation and is identical to the OEM protector so it's great if you need a quick replacement and don't live near a Samsung store.

Ive successfully installed 3 of these and the hardest part by far is the absolute horrible design of peeling the protective layer off of the screen protector itself, its incredibly fragile, poorly glued on and often rips or separates the screen protector from the top and bottom pieces. Not to mention how confusing it is even knowing which part is the screen protector.

@@DigitalSlang last time I saw this silk screen protector it didn't come with the jig and it wasn't installed properly. It may have been the reviewer. This screen protector isn't cheap but I know if it is installed properly you don't have anything to worry about.

Yeah I dont recommend glass of any kind as a protector for your fold. You are constantly opening and closing your fold so why have glass screen protector that can shatter and damage the display? IMO the best screen rpotector is hydrogel. It has a rubber like texture so it wont shatter and damage your display.
Samsung is warning NOT to replace the screen protector. Doing so can result in damaging the sensors? Is this true because I don't want to get stuck with a damaged phone and insurance won't cover it.
Samsung will literally remove it for you at there store

I'm one of the many victims of Samsung. My foldable screen is ruined, and Samsung refuses to back their product, so I'm stuck with using the small outer screen until I pay off this phone and cut ties with Samsung forever. Here's my question. How do I find an outer screen protector? The product featured in the video doesn't come with the outer screen protector.
