It's insane how much terran has to invest to be considered any sort of safe from reaver drops. There is no downside to doing those drops. Do the drop and they haven't prepared you win Do the drop while they've prepared and you still do some damage but you've forced them to invest hundreds in static defence allowing the protoss a increased Econ or army
I remember that Zelot vs. Rain set. Great stuff, proof that short games are not bad games if there's context. Corollary: ZvZ is good if there's enough of it.
The floating buildings and setting aside a volture or 2 just to kill probe on its way to expand (3rd-4th) should be way more used. Its just so cost efficient and not micro intensive.
I wouldve guessed Light to be your favorite T player, did not expect it to be Sharp. Im no pro player, just a loyal ASL viewer and Sharp is a Terran I root for too, JyJ is my favorite T especially for the early/midgame wich often seems so flawless
Can someone help me out here? Why did flash make a starport + addon and then make like 2 wraiths and 2 dropships? Yes, he was down on bases the entire game. But couldn't he have mixed in like 5-6 wraiths instead of just 1? Go around hunting observers and shuttles. Those engagements look a lot different if the observers are all dead so the goons can't target the mines and then the shuttles fly in and there's 6 wraiths sitting there 1-shotting them with each volley, don't they?

It was comfortable for a long time to spam cheap and efficient vultures, but goliaths and wraiths are becoming mandatory. It doesn't even take that many, just some.
I really think we need to see a minimum of two wraith play, with a few gols held in reserve to hit shuttles and zealots. Wraiths are pretty easy to keep alive and position well. 150/100 is expensive though and takes away from siege count. But if you can keep the shuttle count low and weaken drops as they happen they have got to be a net positive.
@@dagadagad There is no way it is worth it. hallucination costyou what, a storm and a half. And you'll need to research hallucination. Doubt we will see that becoming common at high level.
@@eriks2962 There is a way it is worth it - when you're maxed, have 10 HT and 3000 mineral bank + whatever high gas bank. In this case money is not a problem, you already have many HT, more than you can handle in a battle and you are maxed out already. Hallucinations would basically increase your army size above 200, allowing you to go deeper with the attack, as the hallucinations take some of the damage instead of your actual units. That being said it's easier said than done. And in this particular game Best was so ahead it kind of doesn't matter. But I do think it's a nice niche opportunity for extra gains.
By the time you get your mass bio P already has shuttle+reaver and there goes your build down the drain + too much investment so the switch to mech is too late. Oh and they'll just spam zealots in the first place.
@@reishiki8682 If they're spamming zealots, you should be fine since bio is actually stronger in the early game vs protoss, it's just that once they have any kind of tech beyond goons, bio falls apart. Only games I know where Terran beat protoss with bio is either a 1 base all in, or a 2-base timing attack (the deep 6 build, which is a 6rax 1-2fac all in) against a super greedy third WITH obs denied. Denying obs is critical, and it probably isn't possible nowadays. Best example of this was Kal vs ForGG (spoilers ahead, and the youtube VOD is gone), where ForGG absolutely crushed Kal with an initial push of like 24 marines+a few meds and a handful of tanks vs Kal's very greedy 3rd nexus. Even when Kal got his Reaver/shuttle going, ForGG still managed to take it because he already got control of Kal's choke. It's too bad that VOD is gone, it's one of the most exciting games if you know that bio isn't supposed to work vs Protoss

I seem to remember gogo doing a deep six vs bisu, and gogo explained after the match that he knew bisu played reserved vs players he deemed weaker than him, which is why the deep six worked. But, wasn’t a general strategy vs toss. Could be remembering some parts of that wrong but, that’s what I recall. That was pre scandal hence gogo.
Statistically, terran is the worst race. Why does Flash choose to play terran? He could give himself a statustical advantage by playing a different race.
