Neil and Alice Bennett (Tim Roth, Charlotte Gainsbourg) are the core of a wealthy family on vacation in Mexico with younger members Colin and Alexa (Samuel Bottomley, Albertine Kotting McMillan) until a distant emergency cuts their trip short. I truly enjoyed this movie. It is a little slow some movies are. Technically it’s a character study. Keep watching you will be rewarded

The wife had a rich family business. He devoted his whole life to his family and was "Hen-pecked" and disrespected < perhaps just not respected. He just wanted peace and quiet
I loved this movie. It's hard to watch. It is rewarding and tells how "thankless" families are to the Dad.

I thonk we can comprenhend more or less his behavior. Sometimes we would like to vanish and forget all our duties socially or laboriously, specifically when you are exhausted of your life.
Reminds me of "The Stranger" by Albert Camus. A man who is free internally, and severed himself from all societal expectations. He's in the moment and free.
I guess all we were or are in a moment like him. In those moments, which we want to abandon all the things we are doing and live freely without any pressure.
