I hate horror movies that have to do with religion, because the directors never have any more experience in said religion than a passing glance at best. So they all come out as ridiculous even by their own logic. I hate to say this, but im going to anyhow. I cant help but wonder if every black person...or excuse me...PoC...in movies now, is a DEI hire. I already hate girlbosses but like, Longlegs or whatever, thats got a main character female, and it still looks damn good. But, have you noticed that almost all of these movies have female leads? This is what DEI has done to me personally. I doubt though, that im the only one. I no longer can judge an actor, or film, on merit alone. I always find myself asking, is that person really the best person for that role, or are they being shoved in so they can get better ESG scores?
