I loved this movie - a narrative and a meditation - Oleg is an excellent actor and powerful presence. Ralph a poetic director.

It’s a Miracle !!! Special thanks to the director and film producer Ralph Fiennes. for inserting scenes = CHILDHOOD .... The film showed a thousandth part of Nureyev's whole life .. I think the minutes at the airport are the most impressive ones…. That’s as if a person chooses between homeland and freedom ... Of course, thisfilm reminds us another film= the film about Mercury: you know, you see maybe that his face , body looks like Nureyev, but ... not him,.... but still = it is wonderful that the film about him appeared. It’s impossible to repeat , to double him…because Nureyev didn’t dance ----there were movements of a wild animal-beautiful and strong .... Now, will it be a continuation - the next period of life abroad?... but it will be later .... Thank you! I watched it in one breath!

Beautiful film, probably win loads of Oscar's, but it undermines his homosexuality, his first and last love was for men. Not sure he would be happy with this portrait. But loved the film, excellent.

just saw it , very disappointed, good story but poorly told, just another movie tried to portrait a famous gay man to be a straight, Nureyev deserves a better one

It did no such thing.. he was heterosexual and here still very young and rather confused but this was not the focus of the film, it was dance, personal freedom, freedom of expression and freedom from a stifling, controlling system
