Plot:
Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. So much respect for the actors... there's no way I could run around in those goofy gray suits and headgear, grunting and whooping like an ape, without dying of laughter and embarrassment... not to mention giving an effective emotional performance! Movie was incredible!
im pretty sure if you're an actor, fully knowing you're giving a performance that technically would be used as reference for the CGI apes, it wouldn't be embarrassing

The fact that these movies never won an Oscar for vfx is baffling.

I loved Ceasar in all 3 movies the last one broke my heart when he died, I totally agree Ceasar should of won a Oscar
Love the war for the apes . Cuz it shows a king can't last for ever . And we finly have Noah to love and hope Noah has a few sequels . But the little girl had the hardest part of the movie with all the excitement going on around her . She can't talk. Becuz of the virus . Not talking as a actor diff good talent . That's like watching the movie Jay and silent Bob. He never spoke therw the whole movie but only one time . Cuz he was passed off lol. But all planet of the apes . Are a masterpiece.
The scene where Caesar died ..broke me down into tears.
I think we all did...I certainly did. Caesar was a legend.

I still don't get why they didn't mend Caesar's arrow wound before journeying across the desert to their new home

It’s just a miracle how movies even happen. There is so much thought and preparation. Just can’t imagine how you can keep a vision like that and put it into reality
Andy Serkis is a genius. So sad most of the people don't even know his name and that he is behind amazing performances in motion capture...
Matt Reeves handled the last two Apes movies very well. Glad he's directing The Batman.

How the hell can the CGI be soooo good! I found myself staring, just wondering how is that not a real ape? The fur, every detail and crevice on their faces, the light shining on their skin, the moisture.

he did die tho. if he didn't die why were they talking about him dying before he "slept" Caesar said something along the lines of them being able to take care of themselves with or without him. and over the internet sooo many ppl are saying that its the end of the Caesar story and a new story involving nova is coming soo. also, why would the orangutan call all of the apes and they all turned around if he was sleeping... just saying but who knows.
Its both sad for the humans and apes. I mean they just lost their big great leader Caesar and the humans just got bad luck with the avalanche that wipe the few last armies of human kind and the mutated virus will destroy the rest of the human kind. I still wonder how Nova is gonna live among the apes

I watched this movie accidentally. Because i got time and nothing to do. And i've watched all the recent movies but this one. So i watched it. Never watched any of this saga. But after the movie ends, i thought "where the f have i been?! This is so god damn good!". And now i'm gonna watch all the entire series.

Andy Serkis.. the king of motion capture animation
Just watched the movie yesterday. Probably the best trilogy since the dark knight trilogy
Out of curiosity is this series of movies that made the best of motion capture tech.
The reason i ask is because all those were done inside a controlled studio, where as this is in a more natural setting full of foliage and unpredictability around a sensitive technique.

Amazing movie! The actors playing the apes were phenomenal! Andy Serkis has done an incredible job with such a complex character as Caesar!
This movie deserved to do better than it did at the box office (490 million dollars worldwide). I watched the previous movie, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (which I had never seen) and was amazed. But when I watched this one, I was truly blown away. One of the best movies I've seen in the past two or three years. Every actor in the movie was at the top of their game. The real stand out, to me, was the little girl and 'Bad Ape', but ALL of them were fantastic.
I hope 490 million is enough to justify another movie, because I would love to see what happens next! How do the apes build a society, learn science and so on? And what will they do when Charlton Heston shows up? (Just kidding on that last one...)
All 3 movies are great, but they actually got BETTER with each new entry, with "War.." being the pinnacle. Fantastically well done.

Jacob Koba alive? Or is he haunted by letting Koba die in Dawn?
Mmm well it looks to me as if Caeser is looking down the wood at Koba n yells out to him in almost anger. At the end of Dawn theres a post credit scene I believe of an ape breathing, as if still alive (i.e. Koba). Would be an excellent twist to see him still alive!

First they able to think then execute it so well, I'm truly speechless, this take more effort then normal act as human. Superb creation.
just saw the final installment of this trilogy. wonderfully crafted. brought the series to an outstanding and satisfying finale. will watch again. please don't make any sequels where it would dilute or water down what has been already been established.

It's difficult making movies. Especially a film like this. It's hardly glorious when in the end you're hidden to the viewer. It's just a bunch of truncated bits. You're standing around all day to move around like an ape for seconds mostly at a time. Then the big players get a fat check.

That was pre-production, they all had to go through the motion capture bootcamp. It teaches them all how it works and what needs to be done and act in them etc to make it perfect for post production. Maybe teaching her how to act along side those in motion cap suits.

Amiah M. will prob. be huge srar, I Just got to witness filming the upcoming Anastasia kids film, in Jefferson Mall here in Louisville Kentucky they filmed a scene with these kids and an 80s pop concert that her and the co-star are in I spent the whole day watching them film the same scene like 27 times made eye contact with her it was pretty neat, surreal bet anything she's going to become huge
