    I just installed a cam that wants .060 clearance to the valve seals but advertised as drop in replacement. I only have .030 and that's why you measure! This is a great video could watch it all day.

    I feel I have more engine knowledge than you average Joe having successfully put high compression pistons in my Kawasaki ZRX. Not nearly the same, I know but man, the care and craftsmanship of this guy is off the charts. Ya got that! Great stuff and I am just watching for fun.

    @ PERFORMANCE ENGINE BUILDING 201, question: Did those 1977 heads have (valve rotators) under the exhaust springs from the factory? #105 in the likes.

    Very interesting to dee the process 'live', so we can see how it really goes. If I may ask, what's the purpose of these copper/bronze sleeves? TIA 👍

  • @gregg4164

    You should use a vacuum cleaner when your making video's so we can more easily see the end result of each process.

    cool vids but why trim the liner then go back over it with the posi seal cutter, why not use just the posi / guide cutter and knock them both out at once and save a step?

    • @Sam3LS

      Its not a bubble level like the hardware store. precision levels are accurate to less than .001" per foot depends on the level

    I find it hilarious that some engine builders can be very picky with tolerances using calipers and bore gauges in some areas and then rely on a god damn bubble level to set other areas as “good enough” . Fucking hack! I wouldn’t let this guy build me a lawn mower engine.

  • @tomhutchins1046
    @tomhutchins1046 Před 6 lety +1

    He uses a hack hand drill method (The guide centers are all over when you use a hand drill to bore guides) to locate and install the guides then the machine to trim them? Come on buddy breath deep oxygen is good for you
