I could watch these videos all day.
The video gives you understanding of what and why the work is done and the reason for the cost
Anybody who says this man is anything less than a master craftsmen isn't.
What a tradesman. Awesome job.
So nice to see good machine work!!!
Mark, thank you, you are teaching us about precision, accuracy, and just master machining and your no nonsense approach is so professional, no fluff, your a expert and a professional, again thank you for teaching us what needs to be done, jon
Very nice. It’s cool to see this stuff done live after reading about it for years. Thanks for showing us.
This is very interesting. It makes me appreciate the work that goes into machining these parts.
Great videos. It's the most complete recipe for a 600hp big block chevy on you tube. Keep them coming please. Can't wait to see more!
Thanks for sharing. That valve seat machine Beats the hell out of the stone grinder I had.
I just installed a cam that wants .060 clearance to the valve seals but advertised as drop in replacement. I only have .030 and that's why you measure! This is a great video could watch it all day.
Good video buddy! about time someone like your self that knows what his talking about done a video.
fantastic video series mark i amazed at the amount of work that goes into a build like this
Nice work and great filming !
Good stuff, looking forward to the next episode.
I feel I have more engine knowledge than you average Joe having successfully put high compression pistons in my Kawasaki ZRX. Not nearly the same, I know but man, the care and craftsmanship of this guy is off the charts. Ya got that! Great stuff and I am just watching for fun.
I'm dying for the next video!!!
Badass
@ PERFORMANCE ENGINE BUILDING 201, question: Did those 1977 heads have (valve rotators) under the exhaust springs from the factory? #105 in the likes.
Perfect job! What is the number of part for the cutt tools? For the cutter top head valve and the cutter for valve seal?
Yeah that would drive me ape shit with all that chip laying around when i was trying to work on a piece.
Very interesting to dee the process 'live', so we can see how it really goes. If I may ask, what's the purpose of these copper/bronze sleeves? TIA 👍
You should use a vacuum cleaner when your making video's so we can more easily see the end result of each process.
Just wondering how much this kind of job would cost since I have these heads and would like to make some decent power?
whats your guys opinion on the old school L98 corvette aluminum heads are they worth doin something with or are they boat anchors ?
cool vids but why trim the liner then go back over it with the posi seal cutter, why not use just the posi / guide cutter and knock them both out at once and save a step?
Why they are sold not ready to be mounted on the engine? I never understood that.
Mark Jones, Sir, where are you located and would you be willing to build an engine like this one for me? I have the block and heads already.
On race engines I don't use exhaust seals no cut
I never would have though it would be just a bubble level.
Its not a bubble level like the hardware store. precision levels are accurate to less than .001" per foot depends on the level
We're are you located and what's the cost to do a set of 781 heads.Nice work
Blueprint engine?
Really seems like a ton of work compared to just installing a set of bronze guides. I assume there must be a reason-anyone know what it is?
Where's the next video!😭
what did they use to clean that head with.. shiny !
A shot blaster using cast shot.
Why don't you set up a vaccum as you drill to suck up the cuttings as you cut
wya????
I find it hilarious that some engine builders can be very picky with tolerances using calipers and bore gauges in some areas and then rely on a god damn bubble level to set other areas as “good enough” . Fucking hack! I wouldn’t let this guy build me a lawn mower engine.
He uses a hack hand drill method (The guide centers are all over when you use a hand drill to bore guides) to locate and install the guides then the machine to trim them? Come on buddy breath deep oxygen is good for you
Yes your obviously the hacks buddy . Bull hacks like this are why people buy crate motors.
Buddy your key board warrior you dont have a clue
Tom Hutchins I would trust this guy to build a motor than you I got news for you a little son of a b**** I am a machinist I have 4 bridgeport's what do you have a****** except the mouth you can talk out of or is that your a******
Yawn
You and deeremeyer1 should move in together and make videos of how awesome your engine building skills are since you obviously want to comment non stop on every video this guys makes. U too probably live in your mommy's basement and talk shit all day on the computer. Grow the fuck up.
