I didn't appreciate the thumbnail clip claiming "The man that ages backwards" when that is not Bryan Johnson's claim. He ages at a slower pace than most, but still ages forward like everyone else. Maybe if you boil a few of his results down into isolation, you could make that claim about that specific organ or metric, but overall, the "man" is still aging forwards.
Keep in mind that when your age is measured biologically at 46, what that actually means is that you are as healthy as the general population at age 46.

I'm doing the low budget version of Mr. Johnson's program. I'm using a lot of the strategies that Dr. Michael Greger suggests in his book "How Not to Age". I would say that it is working. I'm 53 but my metabolic age is 46. I'm running my second marathon in March. My goal is to maximize my healthspan as well as my lifespan as much as possible and take advantage of the advances in anti-aging medicine as those occur in the future. If I had the resources I would probably pursue many of the therapies that Mr. Johnson is doing if I'm honest.

@@SapientEudaimonia I’m mainly focusing on the basics with optimized sleep, a healthy plant based diet, lots of exercise including cardio and weight training, spending time with friends and family preferably outdoors, etc. On a more esoteric level I have a supplement regimen and I’ve developed a carefully designed fiber blend which I take twice daily. My diet is also pretty thoughtfully designed. For example I’ve created a wild blueberry oatmeal recipe that actually contains many functional ingredients such as Amla powder, moong dal, barley groats, high ORAC spices such as cloves, Ceylon cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, etc. I batch cook this recipe about once a week and eat it with fresh fruits and soy milk and sprouted flax powder every day. I also batch cook 6 pounds of frozen collard and mustard greens at a time in my 8 quart Instant Pot and eat those with everything else I cook throughout the week. I could go on and on.

I have listened to Bryan on other podcasts & feel that those other podcasts failed to capture the depth of this endeavor. I loved the nuisance of this conversation. It went so deep! I’m going to listen to it again. I work in Regenerative Health & help people reverse chronic disease using diet & holistic interventions. This conversation has me thinking about how I can support my clients on a deeper level. We do truly live in an environment where the environment we’re in doesn’t support individual health & wellbeing. This is why the disease epidemic is so pervasive. I really appreciated this conversation. I especially resonated with Bryan speaking about compassion. As a species we do have to move beyond death and destruction. It’s such a broken and limited paradigm. Thanks so much! I’m going to be sharing this podcast episode with many people!

That was so beautiful to listen too. I've see many interviews with Bryan but none that we more real and intimate than this. I think Bryan is a genius and one of most humble person out there. I think that Bryan started something really importnant which will have huge impact on humanity in the future. I wish that Blueprint would create a space such as meetings, memberships ect. for its members as I want to be a part of it. I want to thank Bryan for creating such great ideology. I just started implementing some of the protocol habits and hoping to get better with that in nearest future.

A profoundly moving interview and a reminder of why Mister Roll is the best in the game. I’ve been following Rich Roll for a while now and I feel like every episode changes me somehow. My life before and after discovering RR is so different.
Thank you Bryan for your ethos and erudite elucidation on your mission. Great thinkers not only wander the halls of their own conceptual infrastructure, they act; they live their principles. Thank you for your integrity, your courage and your imagination.
Since listening to this wonderful interview with Bryan I myself feel confronted and disturbed enough by my own inertia and perhaps brave enough to question the corners, bumps and angles of my own existence.
Who am I? And what do I not know? Wow. One of the best conversations on being human I have heard in my lifetime. Thank you.
There are new altitudes for humanity made conceivable by questioning the standard model of experience. Thank you Bryan.

I've followed Bryan Johnson's journey in health optimization and longevity across numerous interviews. However, Rich's recent podcast stands out as the most insightful and engaging conversation that I have watched to date. Unlike some interviews that skim the surface, Rich delves deeper. He explores the "why" behind Johnson's motivations, uncovering the internal drive that fuels his pursuit of optimal health. Rich's skillful questioning guides the conversation without imposing his own biases. This allows Bryan to articulate his complex ideas clearly and authentically, providing listeners with a direct window into his perspective. Well done Rich!

@@knpstrr What he is actually saying is believe biology. Arguing with biology is like arguing with gravity - you can do it, it just won’t matter. And he’s saying is that most humans don’t make good health decisions on their own about health. And that is absolutely true (pick any public health metric - diabetes / insulin resistance, malnourishment due to poor nutritional quality of food, lack of sleep, microbiome dysbiosis, mental health issues, lack of exercise, heart disease, increasing cancer in even young patients). People can do what they want, but what he’s giving an alternative based on what knowledge is available so far.
But you’re right - people don’t like being confronted with the consequences of their less good decisions, even the ones that evolved to be “norm” . I know I don’t either but hopefully like more people in the future, I would rather someone or something be honest with me. His suggestions are respectful and empathetic- he has had the same struggles others have. Most rich people get the same level of care, he’s just transparent and public when they aren’t. As neurodiverse and unusual as he is, he’s relatable in a he best way he can.

This has to be one of the most insightful, thought-provoking podcasts I've ever listened to. I'm so impressed by how much thought, research and care Bryan has put into his blueprint protocol and by his vulnerability and honesty. I eat a whole food, plant-based diet, don't drink alcohol or caffeine and go to bed every night at 8:30pm. Because of this, I find it's so hard to socialize or even attend work-related functions. I have to eat in advance and constantly explain why I'm not eating. People think I'm weird or have an eating disorder. I can't imagine how difficult it is for Bryan to stick to this lifestyle and I'm grateful for the sacrifice this entails. I hope he inspires the world to follow his lead

I now think a lot about AI and also believe that we have already lost the agency that is so often collectively assumed. As Mo Gawdat puts it, we will be equivalent to the intelligence of a fly in comparison to AI by 2049. It is scary to step into the unknown but it is waste of time to agonize about it. The only chance we have is to align our values with a greater good that goes beyond ourselves. I am grateful for the call to higher consciousness that Bryan exemplifies. I used to think BJ was weird and didn’t think much else of him. My mind warmed up to him on a previous interview, I think it was Diary of a CEO. But THIS podcast shows somewhat of how his philosophy formed. Of course Rich Roll is the only interviewer who could elucidate this information from Mr. Johnson. I’m SO excited about this idea of hacking our physiology and our bio-world to include sustainable energy, environmental science, health and wellbeing. I can see his take on history and technology and I am tickled by DONT DIE. Wow, I would like to try assisted democratic biology. And I think God, Allah, the cosmos is bringing this information to us in the form of idea and consciousness. I love the technical holistic biological physiological approach to don’t die and don’t kill. Don’t kill each other, don’t kill our planet, don’t act in destructive ways. ✌️ Hey , if you need a similar aged female to blueprint- I will do it! The longer you are strictly plant based, the more universally aware you become. The more compassionate you become. The more of "oneness" you become. This is the longest interview I have watched without taking a break. As a person experiences a spiritual awakening and observes the destruction behavior of the mind and ego. We as a human race and spiritual beings can benefit from A.I taking away menial worries about health to focus on high-level decision-making.
There are plenty of studies showing that reducing the amount of small meaningless decisions we make daily ( such as what to eat, and what to wear) can increase our flow state to access higher states of consciousness. A.I isn't taking away what it means to be human, instead, it enhances the human experience. If we choose to live with love and compassion we can manifest A.I that will reflect our qualities to us. We can manifest the optimal timeline of humanity by our faith. I would love to sign up for the blueprint lifestyle and spend my extra time in contemplation and meditation while letting A.I make the small decisions of my daily routine.

Stated perfectly. Thank you for your profound analysis of the fundamental question of humanity's quest for actualization. I think we are mostly incapable of living without being in bondage with our egos. I hope he wakes us up from the illusions and dogma of history and culture. I'm hopeful!

I watched several interviews with Bryan and don’t disagree, but this one was the best presentation of a very compelling argument for making a change. I do still enjoy a number of things that are slowly killing me, but trying to improve. Thanks for the help.

Wow. I did not expect this at all. Didn't even know who the guy was. What an amazing convo!

At about an hour in I got a real sense of the depth of the thinking behind this system, and behind Brian himself. This isn't just about health and longevity - this is about elevating ourselves to being the best versions of humans we can be. That he calls for what is currently culturually highly counter-intuitive - to abdicate some of our liberty, our responsibility - makes this some seriously unique thinking, especially in Western orthodox philosophy. I am simultaneously fascinated and inspired by this thinking. This could be the revolution we need - based on the acceptance that we are not the best that we can be, that we can be better, and that being better is predicated on the humble admission we would do better to outsource a good deal of our thinking and strategising to something that already is, on many measures, far better at it than we are. I can't wait to see the Earth Blueprint - not to mention the really tough one, the Humanity Blueprint. Can we align? All 8 billion of us? Can we all share the same priorities? Deeply interesting question.

You must talking about Christianity ?

@@1134mijo I am most assuredly NOT talking about Christianity - or indeed, any religion. I take your point about outsourcing and abdicating liberty in the name of something greater - but I'm also talking about a system (Brian's) which has actual, real-world effects. Prayer and supplication, so far as I know, have no such effect.

Brian is such an exceptional human being, I’m so inspired by his dedication and drive. I have been living a poor life style and I joined the movement. Keep doing what you’re doing because you make a lot of sense 😊

Bryan, thank you for expanding my concept of humanity. Prior to this podcast, I had set goals for productively working into my 100s. At 58, I'm better 50% there. Today you put the year 2500 in front of me and made a compelling case for the effort. Now I'm only 8% there! I have no problem doing 12noon dinner!
Rich, thank you for helping Bryan feel a sense of belonging and partnership. This benefits us all. Bravo. Best, Nate
