      Jason, you and Jacob could mark out two squares on the ground beside the sawmill the same size as one side wall and one end wall of your tiny house and lay the slabs on them to see how many slabs to cut.

    Just a few ideas. Use the slab waste to make raised beds, flower boxes, etc. Outdoor table. Rustic table. My husband uses the slab wood and makes boxes to hold flowers at the cemetery or put on the porch. Also a box to hold napkins and plastic silverware on the picnic table. Great job folks.     You should lay a tarp down to catch all that sawdust. It can be used in so many ways. Garden, compost, chickens etc etc. And it smells so good!

    In addition to saving the sawdust for Jason's composting toilet, mix some of the sawdust with wood glue to make the perfect matching nail filler.

    Wish I was there to smell the cedar as y’all cut it. It really is beautiful wood. Put down a tarp to catch the sawdust, so you can use it.     That was heavy labor but faces show delight. Cedar is beautiful. In Honduras we had furniture made of local mahogany as is would love being there and enjoying company with Alex as all goes forward, God Bless.

    The wood is gorgeous. I've watched a few guys on CZcams that have sawmills. One guy checks his wood for screws or nails first using a metal detector type thing. Another said wood glue and sawdust fill in the cracks. Alex, I'm glad you were able to rotate that motor. Jason must've broke a nail, so he had to run home.

    You should take a look at the channel outdoors with the Morgan's to see how to get lumber from logs with the bandsaw mill. Usually slice 2 slices from the top then flip it over and take off 2 slices the turn 90 degrees and make a large square to get boards from. Go watch a few of their videos and you will see how he gets his lumber. Looks like you are all doing well, stay safe. Best to all.

    Your going to have some beautiful wood in the end to make some wonderful outside furniture! Swings,benches,chairs, tables, end tables plus wonderful barn for the animals. What a sight to see a huge batten board barn for all your animals a home in one! And the hutches for your rabbits free of any bugs to worry about.
