    The poison thins out the blood. So they can bleed internally. Vitamin K helps the blood clot. Take care. So glad he is ok.

      @bradcash8572 Před 3 lety +8

      Spot on, Cynthia. I take blood thinners for a heart murmur. Thinner numbers have gotten too high and I had to have Vita K shots. So yeah, that's why the vet suggested it.

    • @cherylsmith-bell6509
      @cherylsmith-bell6509 Před 3 lety +1

      Exactly Vit K helps counter-acts the blood thinning of the poison.

      @ATHRALLARHTA Před 3 lety

      I've learned that there are two forms of vitamin K. The K1 form has to do with blood clotting, while the K2 form has to do with calcium transport-- so no clogged arteries and such. You'd have to ask a scientist.

      @@bradcash8572 I'm not a doctor so please don't sue me. I try not to take prescription medicine except as a last resort. I figure the less drugs I'm on, the healthier I am. I stopped taking a beta blocker for my heart, due to panick attacks in my case, and started taking a 400mg magnesium supplement which worked just as good. I've read that vitamin E acts as a blood thinner.

    As a dog lover and previous owner of many, thank God for tapping your shoulder Jacob. I have been through similar situations with my Cinder when I lived in the city. Thank you for sharing your story and I hope it helps someone else save their fur baby. God bless and stay safe 🙏❤🐾🐾

    We had the exact same thing happen with our 4 month old female cane corso. And just like you, we were blessed to be at the right place at the right time to see her with the green block in her mouth. My wife rushed her to the vet and they saved her. Same scenario that the mouse or rat had moved the poison outside. Thank God she was seen & saved in time.

    Jacob and Alex my pug Rajah years ago got into Baker's chocolate which can kill dogs. The good thing about chocolate was he was so thirsty so I threw him in the bathtub and turned the water on plus added Hydrogen Peroxide he lapped it up. His poor little belly literally shook back and forth you could hear it. So Amen to my little man Rajah being able to throw it all up. He lived 14 years 3 years in a wheel chair or unable to walk. Dogs are so resilient and passionate about who they love and really we just about dont deserve their Loyalty. But they give it anyway.

    My daughters 4 mon. old border collie jumped up via the chair, got on table and ate an entire dark chocolate on chocolate cake. She administered peroxide and got him to vet. They pumped his stomach out and did the charcoal. Sometimes it is not even something you would think is toxic because humans eat it. There are lots of human foods that are toxic to animals. You are right about that. Even if you don't have poisons per say. It can still happen. Glad your dog is okay. God was definitely with him and you.

    I had that experience many years ago. My poor lab passed away. We did not have it on our property but a brand new storage facility opened behind us about a wooded acre away. There was a fence so someone had to throw it over the fence. I called him in for dinner and noticed the foaming and acting strange. We called the after hour clinic and they told us how to make him vomit but he had started swelling. So we did not find him early enough. Iy was Christmas eve and it broke my heart when dad came back from emergency clinic without him.

      @harpermartin6806 Před 3 lety +3

      I came to say just that. It's not a pretty sight when our birds of prey feed the poisoned vermin to their babies...especially our bald eagles!

    • @wandae9906
      @wandae9906 Před 3 lety +4

      Yes! Many folks just don't understand the devastation RAT POISON has on our wildlife. We
      had a baby bald eagle die a horrible death on the nest in January 2020 because of rat poison
      after it was consumed by a poisoned food source the adults brought to the nest. The chick
      was observed on camera bleeding profusely but it was late in the day and did not get rescued
      in time and died overnight--basically bled to death. I watched until it let out a final chirp and
      stopped moving! It was heart wrenching!
      Permits were obtained the next day and instead of a rescue, it became a retrieval of the remains.
      The initial examination confirmed a broken blood feather, & the remains were then sent away to
      get a necropsy that later confirmed RAT POISON! THEN, in January this year at another nest,
      one of two chicks that hatched in December suddenly fell ill and died overnight with the cause
      unknown. The adult eagle parent eventually carried the remains from the nest so retrieval for
      testing was never possible but then the remaining chick who appeared to be thriving, suddenly
      about a week and a half later, was observed having tremors & eventually began bleeding badly
      and after suffered horribly through the night before dying in the overnight hours after bleeding
      to death!
      The remains of that eaglet were later retrieved & once again, a broken blood feather is confirmed.
      Those remains like those of the eaglet that died last year, were sent away for a necropsy & we're
      stilling waiting for the report since the eaglet just died Jan. 24. RAT POISON is suspected but
      merely speculation at this point. There's likely many other cases of bald eagles and other birds
      of prey along with other wildlife that we don't know about that aren't monitored who likely die of
      rat poisoning as well.
      Bald eagle fledglings are not experienced hunters and we're told that many don't make through
      the first year of life due to starvation but I wonder how many we lose because they ingested a
      poisoned animal that was easy prey. The Sawyers are very fortunate for their divine intervention
      otherwise, the outcome could have turned out much different for their pup! -Take care

    Wow, Jacob! My heart was in my throat when I saw the title of your video. Thank goodness you knew what to do and who to call immediately. A friend was dog-sitting my 2 month-old Australian Shepherd mix while I was house-sitting for a friend 1,000 miles away. He got into some antifreeze in her garage and, like Judah, it almost killed him. In my case, people, here in GA took him to a pet ER and they saved his life. It was horrible, being so far away when that happened. He lived to be 17 years-old and was THE best dog I ever had, in a long chain of incredible dogs. ~ Thank you so much for putting out this video to inform people. I hope it saves some pets' lives.

    Thank you so much for sharing this video and saving Judah. Trust me I know what you went through trying to get that peroxide down. Almost as bad as trimming toenails lol. You did a great job and we are soo glad he’s okay. Like you said if this helps one other person it’s so well worth it.

    Praise the Lord for His hand of protection on y'all! I always keep activated charcoal on hand and even use it in the toothpowder I make for myself. I've even mixed it in water and filled up a turkey baster multiple times to help a friend's donkey who had a Copperhead bite and was really sick. It worked and the donkey was fully recovered by the next day.

      This is exactly why we wanted to put the video out. If it helps just one person in a time of crisis it was worth it.

    So happy that Judah is doing ok, It was truly a blessing that you were there to see what was going on and like you said that it was you because of the size of Judah to hold him while you gave him the hydrogen peroxide, thanks for sharing some very informative information! 😊👍💕💕💕

    In the past in my town there were rashes if people going around and throwing meat laced with rat poison into yards with dogs. It's very smart to know what you need and how to help your pet if this happens. I am glad your pup is ok.

    So glad he is ok, how scary that would have been. Thank u for the information, I'm going to the store right now. I have 2 100 lb German Shepherds and when they were puppies they were into everything. They got into more then I could think to put up. My boxers never got into anything. God is truly good and watching out for you guys.
