its nice when they remake another transformers series without "g1 ified" the design and stay true to the source material
Well it’s technically “G1ified” by losing both the Minicon and the gimmick, although the UT still holds a lot of G1 design concepts so it’s not as hard to make in a G1 style (see the last Armada Starscream)
I mean the Unicron trilogy series had a "closer-to-home" artstyle compared to Animated, Bayformers, and Prime, so there's not much to change to make the Unicron trilogy's designs "look like G1".
@@alfianfahmi5430 Make them more square? UT is rounder than G1. Although that's not a massive difference.
@@genyakozlov1316 And that's the key difference. Their artstyle were not outlandishly different to G1, while both Animated and Prime are definitely way too different artstyle wise.
@@Megamanlanprime Just cause it doesn't have the Minicon gimmick doesn't mean it's G1ified. Many of the other series in the franchise don't have minicon gimmicks, does that mean they are G1ified? No. They probably didn't add ports since kids don't have minicons. So they can use the micro/targetmasters on the inverted ports.
It's about damn time Hasbro gives the Unicron Trilogy characters some proper attention again. The Siege series dropped the ball not having Optimus go into his Galaxy Upgrade as a super mode!
the funniest thing about the "show accurate cannons on his back" is that the lifted look is accurate to the anime till you get to the scene where megatron stabs him with the star sabre and hes laying flat on the floor...how is he laying that flatly with that big of a backpack? Maybe after all the cannons being bent back is the more accurate version, dont you think?
Pretty sure the backpack and cannons "randomly moved" in the anime.
Like sometimes it was definitely down and flat, but other times it's like they remebered its "supposed to be" straight back?

Good thing is siege/earthrise Micromasters can be plugged on the arms to act as minicons
Some have holes that cab plug into Minicon ports too, although only Bulkhead of all characters and Hot Shot do
the little red part of the shoulder thrusters can pivot down, just flip the whole assembly up first

The blue one actually wasn't thundercracker for reasons unexplained some of the characters. Palette swap towards the end of the series
the cape of ss96 starscream can go on the figure, you just need to pull up the thrusters and clip the redbit down on his back, and then youll find a 5mm port on the back
Unfortunately it doesn't stay put.
You can keep the cannons up and fold the red section down and it tabs in to be more secure
I hope they make again the LOTM figure to legacy, my fav is silverbolt/blurr
I still don't get why they gave us dinky little sword accessories when they couldve EASILY given us the foldable wing blades. That was legitimately iconic.
Just so you know, you can lift the canons up to the correct pose AND bring the red back piece down… an improvement over the original. 😅

I agree that he should have came with Minicons (Armada Swindle, Runway, Jetstorm, and Sonar), though Hasbro would probably charge leader price for it. Another complaint I have is that Armada Starscream used his wings as swords and this just has a sort of wing shaped sword included with it. I don’t think it’s the designer’s fault because it seems like a budget decision rather than a creative one.

When I had it, I had a problem on its foot where you have to put the back piece into the front piece and whenever I would do it. It would stop working. So my dad had to cut off a piece of it.

Honestly I'm not complaining that the sword doesn't fold out of the wing because of how much cheaper they make figures now it would just break easily

I prefer to keep the jets up on mine, so it looks more like the original figure. Also, the red part that would normally be sticking out on the OG can fold and tab onto his back to lock them in place.

I still prefer the old version with minicon, wing sword, and sund effects, also larger and more anime accurate in details, though I have to admit this version has improved movements for poses due to better connection parts.
I hope they re-do the 2002 version Armada Starscream with a bit improvements on connection parts for better action movements like this one. That will be perfect.

my copy had comically loose hips, so I had to fix his ass. So far all legacy voyager class have been banging. And it should be ilegal to leave his cannons on the back, IT LOOKS SO WRONG

I think the figure is 10 % hollow
The older was better; fun gimmicks, no hollow limbs, and show-accurate weaponry.
