The CHUG aesthetic is actually based off of the Unicron Trilogy as the original line frequently had repaints of UT figures in it.
Early Classics/Universe 2.0 and Cybertron also shared a lot of engineering/aesthetic philosophies.
Makes sense why Hasbro didn’t redesign him then, glad that they stayed faithful to his Armada design.
They just need to work on that QC. So many toys of last year should not have belonged anywhere near a worst-of list, but they ended up there because of QC kerfuffles that completely ruined the figure.
@@BlitzkriegOmega we don't talk about Sludge
@@kingdareth09 Core Sludge or SS86 Sludge?
Because Core Sludge is a fucking CURSED figure that I can't help but adore in its ineptitude.
As someone who has a copy, I can unfortunately confirm all these issues. Hopefully they’ll fix it for the “Thundercracker” repaint.
They better, or RIOT. Burn it all to the ground!
Don’t forget the Skywarp with its slightly retooled wings and stupid horn :D
I don’t expect them to do repaints with this figure since neither of them showed up in Armada. I hope I’m wrong but if they do I’m damn certain that they’re going to be impossible to get store exclusives.
Starscream died as ThunderCracker in armada
This figure looks amazing for what its trying to be. And I like that this line will offer more figures from more continuities to appeal to the majority of transformers fans
Yeah
I agree with everything you just said, but it's Tragic that the QC has gone all the way down the drain.
Armada Starscream was one of my most anticipated figures of 2022 and he delivered for me. Him and Armada Hot Shot are very good next to each other, plus a gave Hot Shot the Starsaber because it made more sense to me.
I think the sword was intentionally a little smaller specifically to look good with Hot Shot
Look at ebay. They have kits for starsaber. It’s bigger and better.
I'm happy to hear that they worked out so well for you. I wish I could be so positive about them.
The left leg thing is crazy accurate for me!
Even with that, it's still the best tf toy of 2022 for me
Can you modify it with sanding or glue? I don't quite get the problem so I'm putting both options.
He seems to be seen as really underrated, sure he has poor QC but the look and quality make up for that. My copy of Armada Starscream seems to not have any issues besides his right leg.
I wish I loved this thing, but it's just got too many problems for me.
Here I thought the thing I had to worry about was the color scheme looking subtly off and the sword not transforming into one of the wings. Turns out there was more to fear.
Yeah, that doesn't even register to me when I think of this thing.
I am commenting once more, been a while but I love this figure. Well, the character to me was special as I recall seeing him one early morning with my brother, which got us both back into Transformers as previously we had watched RID (2001) and we just wanted to more, so with G1 in our minds and a bit of beast wars, we had went onto Armada. Starscream was my favorite because of the gimmicks with him. The wing becoming a sword was such a cool idea and I hope if a third party company makes a kit upgrade or even make their own version of this Starscream, I'd hope to see such a gimmick brought back like the original.
Thanks for reviewing this figure and please keep up the good work.
It has been a while indeed.
Yeah, it's unfortunate, he was probably the coolest character in that show, and the best Remembered by the community, and he gets screwed like this.
And thank you I will.
Best Starscream design in my opinion it's not like him because I'm a weeb or anything haha lol 🤣
(i have this figure and i love it)
And Alexis is my waifu in armada 😍
6:35 3 children laser sword? It's anime there's no such thing as logic
i really don't care about logic in fiction because your talking about giant robots that turned into cars and other things lol
i love this Star Saber sword 🗡️
I loved this Starscream my self too, though he's more like an interpretation of dinobot.
dude alexis is just a friggin kid during those times what the hell
@@charperalta9489 it's a fictional character they have no rights a drawing it's embarrassing 😑
@@charperalta9489 and I've been attracted to many anime girls since i got into anime like Pokemon
And Alexis is no different
i mean no harm
As a fan of Satrscream, I appreciate The changes this specific version of the character made. That's why I'm happy he at least looks like the character I love. Posing him and Dinobot together makes me wanna cry, as my 2 favorite characters at least look the part in the modern era. My main QC gripe is that the head always veers left for some reason. When I try to snap it back, it pops back. I'm pissed.
Sorry to hear that problem is plaguing you, I'm not having that one my self. And yes they make sense posed together.
My Dinobot was fine aside from a loose foot tilt which always leaves him leaning forward when standing up (Also I accidentally broke his sword so that was fun)
Yay a new perspective vid!!!
Hope it was more fun than the figure.
Armada Starscream was my first introduction to the character. And I honestly like that version, mostly because of the coloration, over the G1 Starscream. Now onto the Legacy figure himself. He's really cool. I didn't have the original Armada Starscream toy, so having version, in box, is great. Robot and jet mode looks cool. The Star Saber sword is cool, but I wish he came with his mini-con Swindle too. Anyways, looking forward to who's next from the Unicron Trilogy. Besides the Legacy Evolution Hotshot, the rumored listed Megatron, and the coming Optimus Prime.
-I don't have the Thrilling 30 toy either, but I wish the orange swords carried over to this Legacy version. To be the energon weapons Hasbro was doing at the beginning of Legacy before dropping it later on. As I never was a fan of his wing turn sword weapon from the show. It does look cool, but it made him look lopsided. And here it looks strangely out of place since it's not the wing anymore.
Totally understand it, I personally can't think of them as really the same character though. Aramada Starscream is more like Dinobot than he is Starscream.
Leaving him in the box and displaying him that way is the best way to avoid the bad QC.
Yeah, it's supper weird how much the Legacy Line gave up on the Energon Weapon Gimick Immediately.
Your Logo variant for the wings in the thumbnail actually looks pretty cool. Could make a fun variant for some event like some sort of anniversary or whatever
I mean I do lots of logo variants, just look through my thumbnails to see all the different versions I've done.
I was casually scrolling through figure reviews for the next addition to my collection, and i´ve found this gem of a channel with one of the most likeable negative nancys on the internet reviewing figures i really like even if he´s trashing tf out of them.
You earned a sub good sir!
I'm proud to hear that. Happy you enjoy! I'm not always negative, but I'm far more willing to be so than most. Hope I can keep up the entertainment.
I just got this guy, and my copy has no qc issues and I just love the figure.
Happy to hear it.
Can confirm, the leg on mine loves to pop of too, otherwise I love the figure, luckily my armada hotshot doesn’t have any QC issues, which gives me hope for the rest of wave 4
How did you already get one of those?
@@PerspectiveEnd amazon has a few wave 4 figures up for order, core dinobots, needlenose, hotshot, and Leo prime
When you said the leg doors are " the most aggressively hateful things," I noticed the doors have a very angry, hateful, disgusted scowl of a face, as if it were the wrath of the designer in plastic form!
Indeed they have. I didn't even notice that till filming, after the Audio was already recorded.
Man I remember when I first bought the G2 Laser Prime in Wave 1 and immediately I had that mushroom peg problem where his arms threatened to pop off at even the slightest rotation. So I know how that feels. Thankfully my Velocitron Scourge didnt have that, thank GOD.
But yeah, on a side note, good luck to whoever wins that Armada Starscream, and may the QC be with you.
Yeah, my Laser Prime does that too, but no where near as often. Sorry about yours.
It feels like they put most of the QC into solely Inferno. That figure is perfection.
That's what I've been saying.
This starscream while not perfect is a great representation of the og armada character and toy which I like to call the second best starscream of all time second only to prime starscream.
I'd agree to that if the QC weren't so Bad on this thing. But there is a really good toy of him trapped in there under the bad QC.
This figure is excellent!
All you need to do is tighten the hips and ankles, thicken the peg holding the alt mode together, paint in a few large areas of missing grey and black and always, always be very careful with the left thigh, and then this figure is excellent!
I have Needlenose from wave 1 of Legacy Evolution and it has the most perfect joint tolerance I have ever experienced on a Transformer, so fingers crossed, whatever the hell was going on with wave 3 QC has already been sorted.
So we basically have to put a ton of work in.
Hopefully it's just a Wave 3 thing and we can get back to the good stuff.
@@PerspectiveEnd Just think of it like a model kit and not, you know, the fully functioning action figure it's supposed to be. Now you can get to have that sense of accomplishment that you made something your very own 😄
I do hope Needlenose is a sign that things are getting back to the way they should be. Speaking of, I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on him. For me he has what I can only describe as perfect hand feel. He just feels so good to hold and to pose.
I love the look of this thing
I do as well. It looks so good.
Adding on to my previous for this video what's the best Armada Starscream in you r opinion? Because his original toy had HUGE robot kibble in jet mode while his universe toy had frail translucent plastic parts.
It's been a long time since I handled the original figure, but I remember really loving it as a kid.
I like this Legacy Starscream since Hasbro FINALLY decided to use a panel to hide where the arm folds in. SO MANY FIGURES WERE LIKE THAT!!! WHY?!?!
Yeah, at least they weren't lazy about that part.
So somehow despite all the issues this mold has I bought one through the hasbro ware house sale and surprisingly I don’t have any of the problems on my copy (I even swiveled the leg aggressively to see what would happen it stayed on) I got really lucky 😊 and thank goodness because I love this toy
Wow congratulations, literally yesterday I got a comment from someone who did the same thing as you, and he did not win that Game of Roulette, so that was sad to hear.
Cool that you didn't suffer the same fate.
Mine has a qc problem where the head always likes to look at a slight angle. I try turning the head to the right and it slowly turns itself back to that angle and it’s so annoying
Great video as always! I just ran by two of this guy on Monday at target having literally 13 dollars to my name and died a little inside lol so I’m really hoping to win him, but wish everyone else the best of luck too!
I hope you can get him, and I hope your's is better on the QC if you do.
I got my copy of this Starscream last week and the issues aren't quite as bad for me. The legs are loose but not so bad that he can't stand up. Never fallen over of his own accord yet. His legs do come off when rotated but slowly like it's hard to tell at first that it's happening. If I kept doing it without correcting then it'd definitely come off. And while the connection at the back of the jet is loose, it never comes out of its own accord.
That's lucky, for me, it's like 1 full rotation and they come flying off like they are Spring Loaded.
I got pretty luck with QC for once. Still got the leg problem though, but I don't even put him in to full jet mode anymore. I just put him in a Macross Gerwalk mode since he has the perfect limb placement for it. Ironically gave him one of Jetfire's weapons for the jet gun, since G1 Jetfire WAS a Macross Valkyrie.
I didn't even think to try a Gerwalk with him.
I feel like we're getting ripped off, we're paying more for 2015 QC. Hasbro apparently doesn't care. This is why I've been very selective with the legacy line. Your videos are helpful because you haven't been wrong yet. I've been buying more chug friendly third party figures due to legacy being hit and miss.
I'm happy to hear that you feel that way. You've been with me a long time, so the fact that you don't think I'm wrong yet, tells me I'm doing something right.
Just curious: can you recommend any new releases (new molds, not reissues) to a Transformers loyalist such as myself? Or am I better of with high quality third party toys & upgrade kits?
Oh plenty. Most of the first two waves of Legacy were great, Most of 86 has been great. The Junkions and Dinobots especially, even if Sludge is a flip of a coin great or awful figure.
Inferno is fantastic, and I've yet to get the Megatron but I hear good things.
Third party is awesome too, so if you want to try that then you have my emphatic support, but both are great. Usually... Wave 3 has been a... Anomaly.
Thank you. 😊
I recently ordered armada Starscream, I hope that when I get my copy I won't have so many QC problems.
I hope so too.
mr perspective do you have any plans on getting a replacement or are you just going to keep it so no one has to deal with it but you
Keeping it.
I must've gotten incredibly lucky with this guy, because I got him twice and I've experienced neither of the QC issues listed in the video. The leg stays on, and they stay in place in jet mode too. My first one had a slightly gammy right arm, so I grabbed a second one with intent to frankenstein them together, only to find that the second one was perfect. Holds together just fine, nothing loose, he still has a few balance issues thanks to his small feet and the weight distribution in his upper torso, but he's fine.
If you can answer, when will the winners of the giveaway be announced?
Should be in the next video on Sunday if they get back to me in time.
I think it would be awsome if they repainted him and gave him jhiaxuses head so we can have the orange comic version. Awsome video as always!
I don't see that happening because we just got Jhiaxus, but customizers do currently have the power.
I kid you not. The original figure literally has the exact same problem in jet mode with the legs. But I still want to buy all the repaints they’ll make ESPECIALLY RAMJET!!!!!
Man I don't remember the OG figure pulling that?
Anyone else notice how the perspective end logo was the wings on the thumbnail? That was a nice touch.
So this figure looks nice and accurate. Uh what else…….
Thank you. I always like to Incorporate the logo when I can.
What a rollercoaster of ups and downs with this figure. I'm so torn.
Not torn. Tarn. He is the answer.
It's so close to being good, if it just wasn't wrecked on the QC.
@@PerspectiveEnd dropping the ball in the third quarter sounds like my home football team’s favorite strategy. Hasbro, you can do better!
I actually don’t have the left leg problem, mine’s thighs are very tight along with the feet. The only looseness I had are the arm sliders (which I think you had the arms transformed wrong or I’m just seeing wrong), the waist, and the legs going front and back. Luckily I was able to fix them easily, though it took me about three goes with the floor polish on the arms and I might have to go again one more time and I did the legs twice just out of caution, but I can’t remember if I actually fixed the waist. And my alt mode actually holds together decently, and I don’t think QC is the problem with the alt mode holding together but rather the design choice they made. The tab isn’t going into a normal slot, but the place where the waist’s mushroom peg is and obviously on many’s it’s just not working. For me personally, I really like this and this has been standing on my shelf the last couple months as my definitive Starscream.
I actually have a Theory about the legs, where I think some of them are winding up being misassembled with two right hips, as there are people out there where both legs fall off, so they got two left ones it would seem.
Happy to hear your's is over all great though.
Great review PerspectiveEnd!!! I was going to pass on this figure completely, but my local Target store suckered me into getting this figure, since he was on sale for only $29.99 the day I found him. (grunt) At least I still have the original Armada Thundercracker figure in my collection. lol Keep on being amazing.
Isn't that the Normal Price for a Voyager though?
@@PerspectiveEnd Not where I live. In my area of California voyager class Transformers cost $34.99, and with sales taxes, the final price tag is over $37.00 for one voyager figure! (grunt)
As you could no doubt conclude from my profile pic, Armada Ramjet is a top priority.
Especially since I plan to repurpose him into Nacelle.
Ok that made me think of something cool. A Selects or Buzzworthy release with two swappable heads: one head would be a new Armada Ramjet tooling, and the other would be the regular Starscream head in Nacelle’s colors. That wouldn’t be hard for them to do, and it’d be pretty cool to see them utilize alternate heads again.
Man why is Ramjet so scary?
his face with the cannons up looks like UoU
I'm not quite seeing what you are seeing.
7:40 they even got angry faces
I only noticed that when I went to edit this thing.
I really love this figure, my quality is good with only the arms being floppy when put on the middle of the slider, but easily fixable when not bothering to slide them in, which means that MY starscream is perfect, yeah his leg does pop off but I circumvent that with just holding his leg with my thumb while rotating it
Well that's not perfect, but I'm glad you are enjoying it so much more than me.
If I buy him, I want to design an actual transforming wingsword. Its one of my favoirte things about him
That's an odd thing to be one of your favorite Aspects.
That left thigh is a bugger, but at least it's manageable.
I did tighten his shoulders a touch so he could handle the micromaster jet duo's sword mode as a not-stat-saber. I like the idea of Screamer with a pair of buddies who gang up on jerks.
And this Samurai Screamer is my favorite, so he gets friends.
Those guys are a bit heavier, and good news, they are cons too so they make sense working with im.
And yes this version of Starscream is a far more likeable guy.
For the entry do we have to put spaces in the phrase?
Yes.
Thankfully i must be one of the lucky ones with good copy of this figure. Legs are a tad loose but he can still hold any pose I put it in. I can only hope others get as lucky as I did, my favourite legacy figure so far.
He could have been way up there for me were it not for the QC. Glad to hear that your's is good.
Have this fella and the original deluxe generation in thundercracker colours from legends. This is definitely an upgrade
Im sure that he is, in every way but QC.
You know, I think a cool video would be a ranking of the toy lines you’ve made videos on, like Titans Returns, Siege, ER, etc, I’m curious what the rankings would be
That is something to keep in mind for the future yes.
I can’t decide if this is my favourite interpretation of starscream or the IDW is my favourite
I'm partial to the IDW one, especially since this guy is more like a Reinterpretation of Dinobot.
Any capitalization with the the email?
It shouldn't matter I don't think but you may try to capitalize every word in the title.
With the shoulder cannons back, I wouldn't mind owning this as Redwing.
It would make some sense as him yeah.
I'm so glad I don't have any of the problems besides the leg popping off but even that has bean extremely minor I feel sorry for those who have had these problems
Some people have both legs pop off.
@PerspectiveEnd hopefully an upgrade kit comes out for the legs and sword to fix the issues or if they do thundercracker then at least fix the legs because this could have bean pretty great in my opinion it's a shame
@@PerspectiveEnd also I found a hack to make him look almost all the way back his neck is connected to his back plate so if you half transform his chest you can just lift the clip up and lay his head on his back
I just realized that his null ray canons are upside down when you flip them over.
Yeah I was thinking they looked wrong.
This is probably my favorite legacy figure ever, mostly because my figure doesn’t seem to suffer from any major QC issues the back of the jet mode tabs in just fine. The only thing I can say suck about this figure is the wing sword can’t believe that the red paint was removed just because of a stupid energon gimmick no one gives a shit about.
The weird thing is that he doesn't have any Energon weapons. The Star Saber isn't clear.
And I'm happy to hear that yours turned out better than mine.
My starscream's joints are decent on 3 limbs, a tad floppy but hold on well enough but his left arm is so loose that it's a chore to have him in a dynamic pose with a sword in his left hand
For me the arms are decent, but it's the legs that are the real problem and especially the feet.
Hey PE, awesome review! One question: Do you think Legacy will get a show? If so, do you think it could actually be good or would just be a easy cashgrab on the nostalgia multiverse deal... Anyway if it inspires you, i would love to see your thoughts on video of what the potencial show could be!
(Also i really dig this interpretation of Starscream, easily my favorite character from the Unicron Trilogy)
According to Hasbro, they pitched a Legacy show to Netflix but they turned it down, so it looks like this is the first toyline in a while that isn't getting one
I don't think so no. Hasbro can't really foot the bill right now, and their last several shows have flopped because they sucked, so Faith in the property is at an all time low.
I feel like with some doctoring most he problems can be fixed, but we shouldn't have to do that, and joint tightener still costs money so your paying more than you should just to get it to be worth the money.
M mean most of them probably could be but like what am I going to do about him falling in half?
“You’re failing your mother and I” cliffjumpER is your wife
No he is not.
@@PerspectiveEnd sure whatever you say😉
Ethier I'm not messing with my figures enough or I just have good qc luck because outside of the prime Arcee molds , the two fosslizers from the wreck and rule set and the little paint scuffing on star saber which is barely noticeable , I haven't run into that much qc lately.
I mean it could just be that you are on a Winning streak of the QC Lottery.
I love this figure, but I’m afraid to transform it because the right foot is too tight and is already showing stress marks
Man I didn't even know that could be a concern.
@@PerspectiveEnd it goes side to side fine, but the problem is tilting the foot down into the leg
This guy, along with Bomb-Burst (Him and Iguanus are bounty hunters in my Transformers headcanon), BW Inferno (Need him to complete my Season 1 Predacons), BW Transmetal 2 Megatron (Yes...), and Crankcase (He'll look great along with Siege Spinister, Siege Flywheels, and Titans Return Krok for a Scavengers display), are must gets for me from Wave 3 (When that wave shows up in my area). I'm typically easy to please when it comes to Transformers toys, but I will still be wary of the QC issues. I'm quite excited for Legacy Evolution (In particular Armada Hot Shot, Needlenose, Tarn, and Leo Prime)
I totally get why you are after this, and I just hope you have better luck with the QC than me and most others.
This Starscream (toy) can literally and completely be described as the Dollarstore Jhiaxus
I mean I do feel you on that.
7:33 I’m surprised you didn’t mention that the tab doors have a giant screaming face on them
I didn't notice till editing the video.
I DON'T HAVE THE LEG PROBLEM
In fact, besides the wreaked box and a paint mishap on the face, I got it PERFECT. Painted in some of the missing spots too for fun.
I actually have a Theory about the legs, where I think some of them are winding up being misassembled with two right hips, as there are people out there where both legs fall off, so they got two left ones it would seem.
@@PerspectiveEnd oh! Makes sence. exsept it looks completey normal. Also at first I was able to open the doors with a finger, but putting them together is annoying.
Such a shame that the QC has gone down, I was really looking forward to this one
He’s still good but it’s mainly the right or left leg that slides off and the back port in jet mode, mine only has an issues with one of its legs.
Same, but there's hope that a better version will release later.
Hi Persp
Sorry, I sent my email but I forgot to put if I wanted to be announced as a winner or not. What do I do?
You could just respond to the email you sent, that should put it in a comment chain that won't change the chances you have to win, but if that doesn't work out and you do, I'll just ask you through the email.
@@PerspectiveEnd Better not risk that. Just ask me if I get selected
By some miracle, mine is almost perfect, the left leg still pops off if you turn it and his left foot is still loose, plus mine has some other extremely minor issues, but every other joint is tight, which makes this a much more enjoyable figure. On another note, which starscream is your favorite (based on design)
Based on Design. Hard to say. I'm obviously going to have a lot of Fondness for the G1 guy, but I actually think it's his Windblade version of this deign with the darker face, and scary eyes.
And happy to hear that yours is much better than mine.
The character of Armada Starscream is probably looking at this and hurling chunks into his grave.
He'd be so offended that a version of him was so weak.
Mine so far doesn't have the leg issue but the ball joint at the head is messed up so you either have to rotate it to a certain point outwards or it will just snap back to default position. My SS86 Ironhide sort of has this issue to.
I'm hearing about that one from other people.
I actually have a Theory about the legs, where I think some of them are winding up being misassembled with two right hips, as there are people out there where both legs fall off, so they got two left ones it would seem.
@@PerspectiveEnd ya I wouldn't be surprised if that turned out being true because look what happened with Victory Saber and he is a Haslab.
This wave just got the Kingdom wave 3 curse, however much like that, it at least produced one golden child of the wave......Dragon Megatron
CANT FIND ONE.
This figure screams my childhood and first introduction to transformers
I totally get that, and I wish that I had better news to deliver about the QC, it would be a really good figure otherwise.
I also bought this starscream because of windblade version. I thought i was the only one who was thinking about it
The Windblade Starscream is so interesting and fun.
There is something u can do with menasor bad gun. Put the flat side of the gun on a table or something flip the barrel up so it is vertical then flip the two hendel out all the way and bam you got a phone holder
Lol. I suppose it would work for htat.
Do you have Dragon Megatron yet? He is by far my number 1 figure of 2022, I love beast wars and I'm do happy to get a version of him in chug, my only problem is his face sculpt
No I can't find the Damn thing Anywhere.
@@PerspectiveEnd well I think you'll love him when you get him
I’m not a fan of UT, but as a Starscream, I am obligated to get him and add him to my Squall of Screamers. A shame about the QC, but it seems like a solid figure.
It's a solid design on paper, it's just the execution that fails.
It looks so perfect. Poses like a dream. It has one bad accessory (Star Saber is too damn small). It’s accurate, has no gaps, and even retains all the functions it had in the show. All it needs is like...one weapon kit (Whether it's the twin swords of his Universe counterpart or a bigger, badder Star Saber. Remember, that sword's supposed to be almost as tall as Hotshot.)
Why is it so thoroughly fucked by QC? Why does this keep happening to the figures I want the most? I'm sure there's some sort of homebrew fix for at least the ultra-loose joints, but I'm not sure about that Mushroom peg hip.
Yeah most of this can be taken care of by Joint Tightners, but I don't know how you fix it falling in half in altmode.
Mine didn't have too much QC shit thank god, but some stuff was bad. I wish they didn't skimp out on the grey though. That combined with the tiny star saber and wing sword just make the QC on a lot of these just hurts.
I know, it's so ridiculous just how much they can cheap out in ways, that could have so easily been avoided.
Worst part is the QC on newer Evo Wave 1 figures are all pretty good. Tarn and Needlenose are both smooth as butter and the rest are just pretty good. Have you got inferno or dragon Megs yet?
I can't find the Megatron ANYWHERE!
i'm pretty sure the qc on this guys has the same qc i had on my seige springer
I mean Siege Springer also had really bad legs.
I grew up with Transformers Armada, and Starscream was my 3rd most favourite Decepticon, but when I became a teenager and I rewatched the series, he became my most favourite Decepticon and character in general.
When he was your third, who were the two over him?
@@PerspectiveEnd When I was a kid, Megatron was my most favourite Decepticon because of his tank mode, you see as a kid I really loved tanks. My 2nd most favourite Decepticon was Cyclonus because of his helicopter mode and his kinda lunatic personality.
So, I know I'm late to the party, on this one, but, just got this fig as a random store find from my wife.
I'm wondering if the QC issues may be related to figures sitting in shipping containers, due to the port backup...
The one I have here has none of the QC issues I've seen on this and other vids, and not for a lack of trying to find the issues.
Guess I got lucky *shrug*
You are quite lucky, my theory for the figures that have the legs that don't fall off is they got made with two right hips. Since they are identical front to back, all it would take was a slight mistake at the Factory, and you wind up with two good or bad hips.
Geez, at that point, I'd rather just hunt for the Thrilling 30 Verision
The qc is so upsettingly bad.
man i want this but my problem is ofcourse the qc and if they do a legacy burnout again (what i mean is give a mold with a big chance of qc a cool colour scheme and fixes the qc) i want them to either do one of his 3 repaints from the og toy thundercracker aka him, skywarp or my perfered one ramjet
Burnout had good QC?
So I have the plane mode not holding together properly and I due have the floppy hip joints, but I my Armada Starscreams left leg doesn’t like to pop off hell from I can feel it needs some force. Though usually my blessing bring a curse and that curse is my figures right foot doesn’t like to transform it’s so bad that the part of the foot near the ankle joint has warped so it might break someday yay.
Sorry to hear that your General QC is so bad even if the leg actually works out better for you due to the lack of popages.
I got the figure today and it doesn’t have any of these qc issues, so happy to say that hasbro fixed it
I got it today and it has all the issues. Nothing's fixed.
@@sigerlion8608well apparently I got lucky then
Hope it gets better for the inevitable blue repaint.
Yeah, here's hoping they hammer out the QC eventually.
I swear it's like this entire wave was sacrificed on the alter of Bomb-Burst, Inferno, and Megatron.
Bombburst doesn't even feel that good, he's just not falling apart.
I just got this guy yesterday haven’t opened him yet, I’m gonna try and spin that qc roulette wheel
Best of luck to you.
Don't know if I just got lucky or what, but my copy doesn't have the QC issue with the left leg. Definitely bizarre, however the figure is still pretty great
I actually have a Theory about the legs, where I think some of them are winding up being misassembled with two right hips, as there are people out there where both legs fall off, so they got two left ones it would seem.
@@PerspectiveEnd That would definitely probably explain it lol. Looks like you were right again with QC quality hitting the shitter again.
my amarda starscream legs keep flying off the mushroom peg
Oh, well, i think i'll wait until they fix some of the issues on a later batch or release
Hopefully the Blue Power Up Version will be better on the QC.
@@PerspectiveEnd i was thinking the same, i love how starscream looks in his super mode
Did you stop updating your playlists? I want to binge all your chug reviews but I can’t because they’re not all in one place
Damn it, I always forget to do that.
hasbro must've gotten their OGL guy to do the QC for transformers too
My copy doesn’t have quite as bad QC as yours, but it should be better. Funny enough, I have the leg issue, but on the other leg. QC aside though, he’s pretty great, I’m really happy to see more armada representation
I think the factory isn't being careful with what side they are putting the hip sections on.
I like the figure my only nitpick is the back of the legs door still should have been painted black, the wing sword NGL i legitimately wished he used his wing as an actual sword or if the sword was just painted to look like the wing. And the Starsaber could've looked better. Plus you can clearly see half of his head.
One more thing have you finished armada if so what did you think of it? and what do you think about Starscream's character despite being drastically changed
Yeah I watched all of Armada, I fell out of the Fandom between the end of Armada and the beginning of Energon.
I liked it, though I haven't watched it again in like literally 20 years.
He’s so pretty! What can’t he be any good? I think I’ll wait for the inevitable Unicorn Battles repaint and hope his QC gets fixed.
Yeah the Blue one will happen, and hopefully it will be in a better era for Hasbro.
Did you buy this yourself or order it from the online store because if you did order it online you probably have got an early copy of the figure so basically you are they QC tester they probably going to release a new figure of armada starscream probably the blue version of that figure without the QC issues
I ordered this online, but it wasn't a Pre-order, and people who are finding them in person are having the same experience.
@@PerspectiveEnd then we are the QC there's and Hasbro is going to release the same figure button blue
Well here I am. Start of January sitting here with a Legacy Evo Needlenose and the only wave 3 figure I’ve gotten being Deadend. Hasbro how have you screwed up distribution this bad???? Barely any of wave 2 and none of wave 3 in most walmarts from what I’ve heard. Anyways Needlenose is very fun and at least on mine the legs have some of the most buttery smooth joints I’ve ever felt and joints overall that are just tight enough to keep a pose but not loose love it love it love it!
Yeah, it's absurd just how insane Distribution is, I shouldn't have to put this much work into finding this stuff, yet wave three is just out in weird places.
