Save money by just pouring sunflower oil (or vegetable oil) into a spray bottle then refill when required.

Some of the recipes I've changed a little to improve the taste. For instance, for french fries which call for no oil, I spray them with olive oil and season them with salt and pepper. They come out great! It makes the best toast I have ever eaten. The recipe I use calls for lightly buttering both sides of the bread. It calls for cooking at 400 degrees for 5 minutes on one side and then 2 minutes on the other side. This time has a lot to do with the kind of bread you are using...so keep an eye on it. Also, the fans in this Ninja are a lot stronger than other air fryers. So lay a metal spoon or something on the bread to keep it from flying around. It's a little extra work to use your Ninja as a toaster but it is worth it!
Though they are undoubtedly convenient, spray oils are BAD for your air fryer. Better to put the chips in a bowl and drizzle bottled oil over them
What she used wasn’t your aerosol spray oil which is bad for air fryers and even worse for your body. It was literally a hand pump spray bottle filled with oil. 😂

Just got an air fryer so looking forward to making home made chips. We call french fries chips in the UK when they are chunky like this and fries are reserved for the skinny ones you get from fast food places. You ever tried adding half a teaspoon of bicarb as that's meant to help as well?

They look ok but you cannot beat triple cooked deep fried chips, if you have them once a week deep frying is the way to go. Try parboiling first before air frying .
You can if you want to live a bit longer.

can you fill the container, people say you can only put enough to cover the bottom of it (as shown in some yt vids) or the food won't cook yet pics on the air fryer packaging show the container overflowing with cooked chips
that is the point of the air fryer no need to parboil easy peasy

What does spaking in water do.
If there are too many spakes, they taste bitter, so best to spake them.

Bad advice DO NOT USE SPRAY OIL.. This will ruin the non sticking coating, It destroyed my last Air fryer and two hot-spot frying pans.
The oil does not harm the coating it is the propellant in the canned aerosol spray oil causes the damage. I have been using olive oil in a manual spray bottle for 3 years now and haven't had any problems in a Philips air fryer.

Have a air fryer for years still quicker and more importantly taste better fry in hot oil.(chips need to be double fried for best results taken out rested then thrown back in)
Just find the appropriate frozen chips for a air fryer .
I tried frying chips on it but it failed terribly...i had to use hot oil to get a good result..am disappointed

Why soak in salted water?
Draws out water, removes excess starch which makes them crisper
Removing starch.
Stops them discolouring. Vinegar does the same job.
