@@carbon7173 Pat Robertson left out the 1000 year reign of Messiah Jesus. This is before the new heaven and new earth. Many Christian teachers focus on living in heaven, which is not Biblical. God will overthrow the evil system of governments we see on earth and return them to justice. Jesus is the king of kings and lord of lords. All kings on earth will bow to his kingship and lordship. The Saints will rule as kings and priests, the Bible teaches. The kings we see now will no longer rule. It says he will rule with an iron rod. Righteousness will be established on earth, no more corruption in the courts, slavery will be abolished, no more human trafficking, work will be meaningful, life will be enjoyable. Who knows how Jesus will rule the earth? I can imagine a lot of wonderful things. Paul teaches we only see through a foggy glass window right now but eventually it will become clear. My 2 cents. I know this sounds like a weird question but it is something I think about? I am someone who is fascinated with everything space and in fact I study Aerospace Engineering in university because I want to contribute to this future of the exploration of space. I am a Catholic Christian by the way. So my question is what happens to astronauts or people not on earth when Jesus returns or the rapture occurs and all the events coming before that written about in the books of Matthew and revelation of course? Should we even strive for the advancement of humanity and space exploration if Jesus will return and God will create a new heaven and a new earth?

God saw creation and said it was good. God gave Adam the order to make it a paradise like the garden. And every command that comes from the mouth of God must be fulfilled. Jesus will come to ruin those ruining the Earth, and make all things new. To restore peace and harmony. A new Earth, which the meek shall inherit. They will build their own houses and grow and eat their own food. It’s a great and positive hope. Way better than the things that are happening right now, with every passing second.
