Well, i stall have a question. How can i make short scenes? for example these glitch scenes that you don't have to click that they dissapear? Or scenes that last for example 100 milliseconds long? Something like in Doki Doki Salvation..

I've followed the whole tutorial series, just to make another Monika mod in which I can finally say My Monika a proper goodbye and letting her know that she will have a special place in my heart with Asirel( They are kind of similar) and other wonderful characters...
( I know it is kind of silly)

Everything works, no errors.
But then when I actually get to the game it doesnât play the music no matter what I try.
I had the same problem but didn't convert the file to ogg correctly. When I just changed the file extension to .ogg, it didn't play the sound, but when I pulled the original audio file and converted it correctly using VLC or Any Video Converter, that file played after that. Even though the sound played in VLC, it didn't work in game until I converted it correctly.

How do I show that 'coding part' when monika deletes yuri and natsuki in act 2? I am legit curious-
First, this video randomly plays megalovainia, and then, the video randomly transitions to a remix of escape from the city from Sonic Adventure 2, I am so proud of what this channel has become! :3
If anyone else is having issues with .ogg files playing, if you did what I did and converted a .wav file into a .ogg file just by showing extensions and replacing the .wav with .ogg at the end (and ignoring the error about it potentially damaging the file and making it unstable, which is exactly what happened lol), you're doing it wrong. Download a media player like VLC, then convert it to a .ogg file through that app. It might take more time but it will have less of a chance of breaking your file. Before I did that, it wouldn't play my sound even though it was set to .ogg. After I converted it the right way, it played the .ogg audio file just fine.
I'm not having issues with that. I am having issues understanding what i did wrong with my custom background thing. Like what do i even do?? How do i add it??

Bruh you add the image to to mod assets and then you go I to definition write image bg park = "mod_assets/park.jpg" then in the script write scene bg park or whatever your background name is

You would have to define the expression for each pose that's already in the game :)

Right after the "label story:", type in "stop music"
RPA doesn't work for me, when I grab the RPA files, and put them in RPA extract, it show a black screen and that's all, nothing appear :(
Mh... Maybe ur in select mode in the CMD? Try right clicking then left clicking. If that doesn't work, maybe the RPA Extract version you have is corrupted

how to change character name in the text box ?
you have to make a new character, replace the name in the chr definition OR if it's a DynamicCharacter, change the variable they use as a name. Like for Sayori, you have to change s_name.
Where can I get the full body monika sprite in the vid?
If you look deep enough on Google and Reddit and Imgur and blabla you'll find lots of custom sprites.
I cant add new character sprites, how do I do that?

thanks for telling me but i use pics art to make my Mods heres a easy way to make a mod download a game called seeven/or seeven 2/on play store or app store and then Download photoshop or pisc art or what lets you make photos and type in ddlc then go into seeven/seeven 2/ or what allows you to make a novel then go into files go into the photoshop thing and there then add text and background and thats it
It's not a mod it's just a picture lol

I added a couple of custom backgrounds, renpy reads it and gives it the ok, but it won't show up on the actual game..
for example I do this:
image bg natsuki_bedroom = mod_assets/bg/natsuki_bedroom
then I add it to the script as:
scene natsuki_bedroom

either i'm really stupid (probably this) or there's something wrong, renpy won't detect the png file anywhere even though it's in mod assets. Here's what I did:
definitions.rpy

image bg yuri_bedroom = "mod_assets/bg/yuri_bedroom.png"
image bg natsuki_bedroom = "mod_assets/bg/natsuki_bedroom.png"

@@combodev ok, so I did this and it didnât work, but maybe if I gave you information on my script and the exception, you might be able to help.
So you mentioned that you put yours in mod_assets/bg. The only folder I have thatâs like that is mod_assets. The other folders I have are: advanced_scripts, cache, gui, monika_route_answer, python-packages, saves and sub mods.
Hereâs the line of code I used to define the bg:
image bg MC_Living_room_afternoon = âbg/MC_Living_room_afternoon.pngâ
And yes, thatâs the same exact name as the image. Do you know what might be causing this?

@@combodev sadly it still gave me the error. It keeps saying that it can't find the background, which is strange since i've tried putting it in different areas...
@@FlabbsXZGaming My bad I didn't realize your comment had a code line. It's relative to the game folder , not the mod_assets one. So the true path is mod_assets/bg/nameofbg.png
So I did the
image bg myBackground = âmod_assets/bg/image.pngâ
But it gives me an error when itâs supposed to show up
