Could you use wood for the mother mold versus acrylic? And use a mold release with it

Very cool! You can also know how much water was poured into the mould (let's call that amount X) by knowing in advance how much water is in that water bottle (let's call that Y), and then seeing how much is left (let's call that Z) after you've filled the mould. X = Y - Z
