I was in a fireteam with three other divers who were all German and spoke it on their comms. I know nothing about German, so we had to communicate with gestures and pings. Was the most incredibly fun, happy, professional dive I've had. Very nice people with tons of laughter, amazing teamwork, and they made sure nobody was left behind. This game is bringing the world together lol

I was told by my German speaking friend that this sounds more like a commercial for cellphone or juice pack than a military campaign video 😂 basically the guy voice this need to loosen up a bit more
TBH around here we don’t see many military recruitment ads. I guess because people here don’t like being told they should go to war with our past and all.

It's interesting, I think the civilian part in the beginning sounds better in english, but as soon as he snaps his finger and switches to his military tone, german sounds much better.

Not that the French can't be bad-ass, but their language certainly doesn't lend to the overall bad-assness, imo. I remember back in school we watched the original Batman in French. Hearing Batman say "Je suis Batman!" while looking at the thugs he just dropped in on was hilarious.
@@Darion350 Yes that's a great point, I went to see Dune Part two twice in theater (One time In French and the other in English ) the English version was much better, it's just my opinion but I much prefer to watch a movie in VO. You can see the talent of the actors much more clearly :)

Well, to be fair Germany produced the most wonderful term for a political system I have ever come across - "Schönwetterdemokratie". The term "Fair Weather Democracy" encapsulate in a single sentence everything that was the Weimar Republic. Then agian, I also think Fritz Lang's Metropolis is the perfect movie that embodies all of the contradiction that the Weimar Republic was made up of.

What's funny is just a few days ago while playing with a friend I switched the auditory language to German just to hear the barks and voices. It does hit differently. I wish the game sounded the player's chosen language only from their avatar to every other player. Imagine a mission where everyone's screaming and dying in the different languages of super earth but still understanding each other with subtitles. Or at least deva could add difference character voices including languages for individual helldivers or more experienced and grizzled voices.

I played HD1 in german and the voicelines sounded more like something from a space marine in wh40k, and i loved it. So aggressive.

What I love most about this is that I can play in german and NOT cringe.
They don’t use google translate or word by word translations but actual proper sentences and phrasing fitting for the language. And the voice actors are great too. Not like they used to be in other games

As a German I must say the English version Is a bit funnier and also more Epic. But Its still perfect for a synchro.
The voice acting is awesome even though most of it is easy when he's wearing a helmet. I like both English and the German version they're not too different altogether
