I appreciated your video! I just ordered this exact system from Amazon, on the recommendation of the detailer who put a clear bra and ceramic coating on my brand new C8 Corvette. I live in Las Vegas, and our water, which comes from Lake Mead (and the Colorado River) is absolutely horrendously hard. I'm thrilled to see how the system worked for you, and hoping I'll see the same results for myself. My car is an Amplify Orange, so not quite as bad as black. I am planning to do my car washing in the shade, using a foam cannon and a final rinse with the CR Spotless water, and then blowing the car dry with a Master Blaster, so I"m planning to do everything 'right', but good to know the CR Spotless looks so good! Again, thanks so much for a 'real world' demonstration, not only of the water coming out of the system, but how to reload the resin, and the difficulties that one may encounter. Great job!
I’m happy the video was helpful for you! Sounds like you have a great plan for taking car of your car. I also have the master blast and it a solid piece of equipment. I have a few videos talking about it. As long as you car is well waxed it should do the job of drying for you.
In TX the city water is almost 300PPM so this system will last for 5 gallons. Almost bought this but I’ll be going thru resin every other wash. Gets expensive

@@SweatTheDetails I checked today. TDS is 280. A have a RO for drinking water that brings it down to 5. But no way to use a system to wash a car. I know a car detailer that uses the CR spotless system in your video and he has to change the beads very often. There is a car wash nearby that uses RO water but unfortunately it isn’t touchless
@@mrprfct7069 your best option is a shade canopy. Also you can start doing Rinsless washes. I do that in my garage when it’s hot. Just pressure wash the lower panels and wheels then bring it in the shade. I have a video on my method.
Was shopping for one and came across your video and it was EXCELLENT! Retired Military and my new passion is detailing my cars. I had to subscribe, I really like your attention to detail. One question, I have a truck and a Car, do I need the larger System (like you have) or the Smaller System. I wash my vehicles about once a week (give or take a day or two). Also with my current wash schedule, roughly how long will the resin last, my baseline water ppm is 87. Thanks in advance
Thanks for watching and subscribing. I believe that’s about the PPM I had while stationed in FL. If I remember correctly I had to refill the resin about every 8 months. In Hawaii the PPM was the over 100 and it would not make it 6 months.
You can make it last longer with some strategic management. I will do the wheels and spray the lower panels with regular water. I would only use the DI water for rinsing the top of the vehicle and for the final rinse. Also I typically do a Rinsless wash so that use a lot less.
It’s really hard to tell you how long it would last. When in doubt I always go bigger. That way I’m not second guessing myself.
Hey bro. Thanks for the great video. Question, I live in miami and my BLACK c8 corvette is on the way so I wanted a system like this which is great. My only concern is that does RAIN water leave water marks just like the hard tap water in Florida ? Should I be concerned about rain water leaving water marks ? Your response would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Black is the most difficult color to maintain. Rain water doesn’t have the same mineral deposits that tap does. In general it shouldn’t be a problem unless you car is not garaged and sits out baking in the sun all day. As always regular washing and waxing will be your best friend.

FYI: thought about buying this unit until I checked Amazon reviews. Ten prcent (10%) or 1 our of 10 people gave the CR Spotless 1 star and descibe it as 0 stars. Folks having the system fail after 5 or 6 washes and plenty of horrendous stories about CR Spotless' customer service (basically doesn't exist). Then there are more stories with 2 stars, etc. This gives me great pause.
The efficiency depends on the water quality in your area. I’ve had this system in 3 different states. In Hawaii the water is mineral heavy so I had to change the resin often and keep a close eye on it. In Mobile Alabama the water is very soft and I have not needed to change it in over a year.
